Hello RBK fans!
I have a question for you, does supporters of RBK have an option to vote for club's president like in Real Madrid or Barcelona? |

The club is member driven, so yes, but we don't really have a president as such; The closest we would get is the "chairman of the board", the position currently held by Ivar Koteng.
So the top executive of the club is elected by the members. If I understand correctly, he is elected for two years at a time. Thus, this position is not up for a vote this year, but will be again next year. _________________ Rosenborg for alltid - uansett! | Troillprat.no |

All members can vote, as long as they show up to vote. I'm not sure how many there are at the moment. |

2mas: I have no problem seeing that he is the closest thing we have to a president, but is that actually a formal title the club uses? I'm stuck with the impression that "being president" is a bigger deal in foreign clubs than it is here. _________________ Rosenborg for alltid - uansett! | Troillprat.no |

Ah, okey. I guess it fits the image they want to project better than "don". _________________ Rosenborg for alltid - uansett! | Troillprat.no |

The club members elected the board, control commitee and election commitee at the annual general meeting yesterday.
Most roles are elected for two years, and Koteng was re-elected as president last year. |

Yep.
The annual general meeting is in late February and this year includes electing chairman of the board. However, if current chairman Ivar Koteng wants to continue, he will most likely be allowed to do so. Still have to be re-elected though.

Early. Jamtfall, our current goalkeeper coach, was our goalkeeper when the club peaked in its CL performance in the late 90s. By Rise finished his career just when Rosenborg started to do very well in Europe, and was the goalie during Rosenborg's first CL participation in 1995. He retired when Rosenborg played its last CL match autumn 1995. He started playing for Rosenborg as a teenager back in the late 1970s, and worked as a journalist alongside his footballing career for many years. Later he became both assistant coach and head coach of Rosenborg (2004), and was sacked in 2004 despite both winning the league and Rosenborg again qualified for the CL! (Rosenborg at this time had an ageing squad, and many of the most experienced players did not like their position was threatened. Instead of starting the process of replacing the older players with new talent, which had been postponed for years, the club focused more on the short term goal of CL success, having made itself dependant on high incomes. Later By Rise became the national team assistant. After a short spell as a coach at the second highest level, and part of the Rosenborg board, he now starts a new career, as a civil servant for the Trondheim municipality. |

A bit on the side:
[Former Rosenborg president Terje] Svendsen was, as expected, voted in as NFF’s new president at an annual meeting in Oslo over the weekend. Football bureaucrats from around the country gathered at a time when scandal has been characterizing the international football federation (FIFA) and the organization at home is in trouble, too. NFF has been the target of claims involving abuse of power, huge increases in the football bureaucrats’ pay, heavy spending, a lack of openness and questionable ethics.
(...)
Svendsen “has some training” from an earlier crisis at Rosenborg that also involved allegations of free-spending bosses and internal conflict. Svendsen cut costs radically, replaced lavishness with moderation and the club is back on track.

I guess several of us will claim Ivar Koteng should have some/more credit for this. |

This is the reason why journalism and the prestige of beeing a journalist is in tatters. Completely false and insulting to the people truly responsible for the mop-up. |
