FIFA's new prime club competition - Mundial de Clubes FIFAâ„¢ - will grace the world stage in June and July 2025, when 32 of the globe's leading teams gather in the United States for the inaugural edition.

Africa - 4 CAF teams. Three via champions pathway (CAF Champions League) and one via ranking pathway.

Asia - 4 AFC teams. Three via champions pathway (AFC Champions League) and one via ranking pathway.

Europe - 12 UEFA teams. Four via champions pathway (UEFA Champions League) and eight via ranking pathway.

North and Central America, Caribbean - 4 Concacaf teams. All via champions pathway (Concacaf Champions Cup).

Oceania - 1 OFC team. Via ranking pathway.

South America - 6 CONMEBOL teams. Four via champions pathway (CONMEBOL Libertadores) and two via ranking pathway.

Host country - 1 team.

– Én enkelt Real Madrid-kamp genererer 20 millioner euro. Det er det Fifa vil gi oss for hele turneringen. I likhet med oss vil flere klubber avslå invitasjonen om å delta, forteller Ancelotti.

Et omfangsrikt klubb-VM er et dødfødt prosjekt. Blir for mange kamper, og er jo for stor kampbelastning allerede. Dessuten vil nivået bli en del lavere enn i CL. Det nye CL-opplegget som er på gang etter hvert gir også flere kamper. VM, EM etc utvides. Noe må kuttes ut asap. Spillerforeninger i de store fotballandene er på saken angående hard kampbelastning. CL og PL har færre seere og tv-avtaler har stagnert eller blitt redusert på mange av disse sendingsrettighetene.

The tournament kicks off on Sunday, 15 June 2025, with all roads leading to the MetLife Stadium in New York New Jersey on Sunday, 13 July 2025 where the FIFA Club World Cup 2025â„¢ final will be played, just over a year before the venue stages the FIFA World Cup 26â„¢ final.
