Eventuelt er det vel en mulighet å omskolere. Vil kunne fungere som backup både som indreløper og spiss i enkelte kamper. Kan ikke husker stort om de defensive styrkene, men høyreback? Sikkert ikke optimalt for noen parter, spesielt ikke ham selv, men en sympatisk fyr som tross alt har en kontrakt.

IFK Göteborg brukte ikke kjøpsopsjonen da leiekontrakten gikk ut etter sesongen. Rosenborg prøver å finne ny klubb til den finske landslagsvingen.

Vil nok regne med at de har en utkjøps klausul i avtalen da Riski klart ikke er med i fremtidsplanene til RBK.

Synes nå at vi snart må ha litt mer bredde med kvalitet/forbedringer inn hvis man skal klare alle kampene for sessongen med evt. CL.

The 26-year-old joins United from Norwegian club Rosenborg Ballklub until the end of the season and has experience of working with Head Coach Mixu Paatelainen at both club and international level previously.

Riski said, “I’ve known the Head Coach for many years and have worked with him for a long time at both club and international level. I look forward to working with him again. I see this as a great challenge. I follow the Ladbrokes Premiership and the situation the Club finds itself in doesn’t scare me. I know what we have to do as a team and I will give my all every week.

“The football culture in Scotland is so strong and I am excited about testing myself in this environment. I relish the opportunity to perform for Dundee United and help the Club go forward.�

Jeg tviler egentlig på at Dundee United har giddet å forhandle fram kjøpsopsjon. Alt tyder jo på at de rykker ned. De ligger desidert sist på tabellen - hele elleve poeng bak Kilmarnock.

Riski, though, was hopeful of a fresh start in Trondheim when he returned to the club last month – but was left disappointed once more as he was again told he did not feature in boss Kare Ingebrigtsen’s plans.

However, the player, capped 26 times for Finland, is trying to focus on the positives.

“I came back from my holidays and was getting ready for the new season,� he explained. “But then something happened and Rosenborg said maybe it was better if I looked for something else this season.

“It was then that we heard from Mixu and Dundee United and I decided to come here.

“It was disappointing to be told I could go but I’m not bitter or anything. Sometimes things go like that in football.

“When I heard about the opportunity to come here I was excited. I want to do really well here and see what happens after that.�

"There's always pressure on the player when he comes in the middle of the season, it's not an easy situation but I don't take so much pressure out of it.

"I don't take all the goalscoring pressure myself, we have great players, good strikers at this club, it's just about getting those first goals in and getting the confidence back up. I think it will go from there."

Hvit løgn fra Riski? Han konstaterte jo allerede i november at RBK-framtida var usikker. Virker veldig rart om at klubben har påstått det motsatte rett etterpå for så å ombestemme seg.

“It was a bit of a surprise to me that they had other plans for me. Last season I didn’t find playing as a winger very comfortable and so I went out on loan in Sweden [to Gothenburg]. I returned to prove them wrong but they had other plans.

“Am I fuelled by a desire to prove Rosenborg wrong? Yes, maybe a little but my main focus is on the team and getting them safe. But when it comes down to personal things like that then yes, of course, I want to prove them wrong.

“But this is new challenge and my focus is 100 per cent on Dundee United. I am here until the end of the season and then I have 18 months left at Rosenborg. We will see how this goes and then see what happens.�

“If you’re a player and someone says you are not good enough then you want to do that. But it’s not the main thing.

“I’m not bitter or anything but the way of playing and tactics over there did not suit me as well as they might have in the past.�

The United fans who made it to Airdrie to see the 1-0 win in the William Hill Scottish Cup tie on Saturday got a glimpse of Riski in action when he came on as a 67th-minute sub for Chris Erskine.

The bulk of the support will now get to see him on Friday night when the Tangerines take on Celtic at Tannadice.

Riksi can’t wait for that one as it will see him resume a rivalry with Ronny Deila that goes all the way back to Norway when the Hoops boss was in charge of Rosenborg’s rivals Stromsgodset.

The new United man said: “I don’t know Ronny personally but I played for almost four years in Norway and he was there also.

“He was at Stromgodset, the rivals for Rosenborg, so I know a lot about him.

“I don’t know what kind of football he is playing at Celtic – we will go through that before Friday – and I am not so much concerned about them.

“I am more concerned about what we do and how we go into the match.�

“Looking at the table didn’t put me off coming here. I saw it as a big challenge. Now having trained with the team I can see that this is a squad that is definitely up for it. I like the quality and I like the players.

“I’m super surprised the team are where they are. I’d never have guessed it had I not been told. But sometimes football is not about the quality of the players. It can come down to confidence and when you have a bad run of results it affects you mentally. Now it is about turning things around, getting the confidence up and the goals in the net. After that results will come.

“From everything I’ve seen so far I’d say this team is good enough to stay up.�

Det kommer helt an på den som cacher - for eksempelets skyld, la oss si at det caches hver hele time.

Hvis de la ut artikkelen ti over og fjernet den kvart over, ville den ikke ha vært tilstede på noen hel time, og dermed ikke blitt plukket opp av noen cache.

Klart, det er mange som cacher og indekserer rundt omkring, på ulike tidspunkter og intervaller... Men i utgangspunktet er muligheten god for at borte er borte.
