Viking have usually had a good grip on Brann, and may help us in Bergen tonight. |

Welcome!

I am trying to find out whether the match is definitely at 1800 and not likely to be retimed for television otherwise our plan to fly into Torp and home after the match is stuffed! I also presume that the ground will be segregated but have no idea whether you can pay on the gate to get in the Rosenborg section or need an advance ticket, as that is what you would require in the UK. |
1. The TV schedule for September will be published very soon, but I don't think they will move this match.
2. You can buy tickets to the away supporters' section on the gate. |

Thanks for that. I assume the Kamper page on this site will get updated once the TV is known.
Looking forward to it so someone is bound to throw a spanner in the works somewhere! _________________ There ain't no fool like an old fool |

The numb nut in charge of that mail can hardly speak Norwegian it seems, so forget about a second language.
Watch for when they're released at www.kjernen.com/sjappa (the tickets that is) and preorder them there and pick them up outside the stadium. As for the other information try grete.oiaas@rbk.no
Most likely the only sane person of any notable intellect working in that joint.
The club will probably not know them selves though, as to whether or not the match will be moved, but we're shit and so is SFK, so I doubt it personally. Can't imagine this being prioritized for television. _________________ Profesjonell revolusjonær

I'm not about to throw stones as whilst I can read some German and French and just about get the drift of the Scandinavian languages (except Finnish!) and Flemish. I am not very good at speaking any of them!
Grete has always been very good to deal with for the CL games.
I'll probably take your advice and try and pre-order.
From watching the videos on here and at Lyon though, they are nowhere near as good as they have been, and that is hard to take if you have been the best by a distance.
If the club managed some managerial continuity for more than 12 months that might be a start! Oh well, here's hoping for a performance high at Sandefjord.... _________________ There ain't no fool like an old fool |

Great win tonight, 3-1 RBK!
Managed to watch the game on TV2
Brann's win earlier against FFK meant we had to win this one, and we did thanks to Strand, Jamtfall and Iversen.
I thought the main points tonight were obviously the win against difficult opposition and a good performance, but also the introduction of Jamtfall. Tettey surprised me today also, worked very hard and was my man of the match.
We are now 2nd in the table too, only 7 points behind Brann and 2 ahead of Stabaek. |

We're now heading towards European football... OK, too early to scream hooray yet, but we have no excuses to miss it now. Second half-way the season, this is something we should not let go anymore. With a bit of luck we may be able to chase on Brann, but definitely the European spots are necessarily now...

I'm quite convinced that we will qualify for the UEFA-cup group stages 2007/2008. I'm also convinced that we will be able to do OK in that tournament in the years ahead.
Sadly, It may be several years until next time we qualify for CL, if we ever... Right now it feels a bit bizarre that it's not even a year since we faced Real Madrid, Lyon and Olympiakos in Champions League.
A somewhat realistic possibility is to do quite well in the UEFA cup and therefore be seeded in the 3rd round of the CL qual's a year or two later.
Anyway, maybe it's more fun to actually win a few matches in the UEFA cup than to be slaughtered in CL....? The money (which is important), publicity and extravaganza is not the same of course (unless we make it very far), but it may be fun to play in a tournament you actually have a chance to do well in...
We can't expect to win the Norwegian League every year either (and get he chance to qualify for CL), but I am quite certain that we will be among top 3-4 every year! (And therefore get the chance to qualify for the UEFA cup). |

The 19-times domestic champions have been busy restoring their die-hard fans' good humour in recent weeks after an uncharacteristic barren spell lasting almost a season and a half.
(...)
Halfway through the current campaign, the serial champions' prospects appeared grim as they languished ten points off the lead with ten games played, but the turnaround in fortune has been as dramatic as it is unexpected.
Visibly bemused Director of Sport Rune Bratseth confessed as much in a recent RBK-TV interview.
"I'm not sure many people expected this, but that's football. Sometimes things change extremely quickly, for better or for worse. We need to concentrate, continue working hard, and defend our current position."
Bratseth, who featured on 230 occasions for German Bundesliga cracks Werder Bremen between 1986 and 1995, appeared almost mystified by his side's return to form.
"There's no simple explanation. We lost a few players, but sometimes that makes it simpler to find a solid and consistent line-up than when you have fierce competition for every position. We know we're not playing particularly attractive football, we know we're not creating enough chances, but we're still scoring goals. But we mustn't start kidding ourselves, we're nowhere near where we want to be."

While Rosenborg won in Sandefjord they were unable to put on a great show, something which didn't upset coach Knut Tørum much.

Great result but more importantly RBK are top of the league!
Can we win the league this year after a period of transition of players and management? It would be some acheivement and probably is the most important league win surely given the possible prize money.
Brann play tonight though and i think RBK and Brann will fight it out until the end. |

There are no ordinary prize money in the Tippeliga. The best clubs just get some bonus on the TV money, really not that much. But good results might tempt more people going to Lerkendal, increasing the income on match tickets. And of course a league championship is a good card when it comes to negotiating sponsor contracts. |

I meant the Champions League. (If RBK get into the group stages )
Brann won tonight 1-2, Winters for Brann, then who else but Nannskog for Staebek.
Then, Charlie Miller scores 87th minute winner. Still, RBK second and i believe the game against Brann in Bergen on the 22nd will decide the title.[/quote] |
