Mallorca and Sparta Praha made bids in August respectively January, but Rosenborg turned both down.

15 minutes of play at the end of the 1-0 victory against Fredrikstad marked the end of exactly six years in Rosenborg for Frode Johnsen.

I think the reactions among the supporters on this transfer vary quite a lot. Johnsen has after all been our best player so far this season.

Nevertheless he played bad throughout last season and he is 32, so I think it was a right decision by the club. At the same time it is good for Frode to leave with some good last impressions.

Johnsen scored after 44 minutes in his debut. Good for him.

On a similar note, do you think John Carew would ever come back to the club to end his career?

He could be useful in helping the younger players.

Johnsen scored once more, and secured a 3-2 win over JEF United Chiba. Tommel'n opp!

Helllo!
I'm a supporter of Nagoya Grampus Eight.
That game was finished now. We won !!! Very Happy

The details of two goal:

The first goal decided a ball from the left with the head.

Second GOAL
Johnsen decided the second GOAL in the foot that returned ball from the far side.

Though a field was cruel, he did a play with stability. High level.

I am watching UEFA CL every year. Therefore, both RBK RBK and Johnsen were known.
Today, a part of his ability was seen. But, I know that he is more wonderful. If connection with the teammate improves, he thinks that it is more active.

RBK and that RBK supporter gave a wonderful player to our team. Thank you !!! Tommel'n opp! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Of course at least one of the goals was a header Very Happy

I'm glad to hear that Frode is doing well in Japan, and I hope he will continue scoring goals for your team. A bargain for Nagoya Grampus Eight!

By the way; was this match shown on Japanese TV? Is there any possibility that we can get a link, if there is one? Smile

The first goal Johnsen scores, what a goal! If the Nagaoya's players can continue to feed Johnsen with passes like this from out wide, he'll be a huge success!

In situations like these, I can't imagine there are anyone in J-League who can match Johnsen's skills

Thank you so much, NagoyaGrampusFan! (You wrote "God Dag"/Norwegian, do you speak Norwegian too? Where are you from? Smile)

I guess I was too late for the first links, they didn't work. If anyone downloaded the goals, please upload them again Wink The last video was cool! "Johnsen!" Very Happy

Coach Sef Vergoossen was pleased his painstaking search for a solution to his team's lack of goals led to the signing of Johnsen.

"We worked hard to try to find the right striker for us, and now we have him," Vergoossen said.

"The pressure was high (on the club), and sometimes if a striker doesn't score for his first three games you have a problem.

"But Johnsen is an important player, he is a good header of the ball, has good intelligence and I know his behavior and character. I am very happy for him."

Lloyd or Nagoyafan, translate this please:

I Understand most of it, but what's the last sentence about "Already the Norwegian sumfin' sumfin'" and then the part about not being able to sleep?

"もうノルウェーに足を向けて"

"...ashi wo mukete neru" as in; it`s not very polite (jn Japan, that is), to point your feet directly at someone else when your asleep (det han prøver å si er at han heretter ikke skal latteliggjøre Norge mer..... Embarassed )

The guy seems to state he wanted to see the game live, but obviously had to be content with watching the Yokohama vs Nigata (?) game on the telly. He writes that the team didn`t give in, in spite of conceding a goal, got the equaliser before Johnsen scored the winner. He wraps up stating that although it won`t be easy to get out of the dire straits their in, the victory will be good for the team moral/team spirit.....

Should be just about it, me thinks, but then again; the depth`s and difficulties of the japanese language never ceases to surprise me Wink
