Well lads, who do you think is going to win it?

I am hoping for Villarreal to win it, as they're the true underdog, coming from a small town with only 30000 souls. It'd be a bit similar to CSKA Moscow last year in the UEFA Cup, stunning all the big teams.
I hope anyway the winner of Arsenal-Villarreal will win the tournament. Barcelona and Milan are quite unattractive clubs IMO, both are award-sick top teams with the classic arrogance of the giant teams. Barcelona is too politics-laden as well.

What do you mean by Barcelona being too politics-laden? I could understand AC "Berlusconi" Milano, but not Barcelona.

Barcelona has been a symbol of Catalonian independence for many ages now. Their rivalry with Real Madrid has been ever present, but the rivalry reached a new level during the Franco years when Real Madrid was considered to be the "regime team" while FC Barcelona was regarded as the team of the opposition.

Barcelona more or less relies on the Catalan separatism. Let's put it this way: I wouldn't want to attend Barcelona-Real Madrid, because I simply wouldn't feel safe in the stadium during that game. The hatred between Barca and Real goes way beyond on-the-pitch rivalry, and I don't like that. Celtic and Rangers are other examples of clubs where politics ruin it a bit. I wouldn't want to support a team where political hatred is a motivation of existance.

I sympathize greatly with Barcelona because of it's role in the war against Franco.

Arsenal wins it.

They got passed the most difficult opponents ; Villarreal play much more pressing football than Barcelona and Milan. I can't see Arsenal's solid defense getting in problems versus Barca, who didn't impress me so far in the knock-out stages (both against Benfica and Milan they were very lucky not to conceive goals at several occasions). Wheras I can't see Arsenal getting into defensive problems, they have a world-class striker (Henry) who knows how to score a goal while the earlier opponents forgot to finishing off the Barcelona defensive errors.

I predict a 2-0 for Arsenal. Goals by Henry and Fabregas.

Thanks to Liverpool for winning last year so next year Maccabi haifa start from the 3rd q stage instead.

I think Barcelona is going to take it this time btw.

Eto'o is good but doesn't have the goalscoring instinct like Henry, Eto'o needs several chances to score while Henry scores with eyes closed when on form. Larsson is very good but usually doesn't start. And Ronaldinho... is overrated. A bit of tricks with the ball are nice to see, but he still has to really impress me in this tournament, often he does the nicest tricks on the midfield then to finish with a shot that misses the goal.

Eh, no he's not. He can't play at his best all the time. He's human.
