I'm new on here, I'm a Celtic supporter who came to the Lerkandal when we played you in the 2001 Champions League.
I see from the website that your stadium has changed since I was there, looks good.
Anyway, good luck in this seasons Champions League and of course good luck to Harald Brattbakk!!!
Hopefully we will play each other in the last 8 when Trondheim isn't so cold!!! _________________ Peter McGuigan |

Thank you for your kind words. It would be nice if we both could go through to the second round and I sincerly wish it. Best of luck to your team in the CL. _________________ Sliter

Welcome to this forum, Peter!
Harald Brattbakk's kind of living legend in Norway. He's the over all topscorer in Norway with 159 league goals in 232 matches. He does however share the title with an other ex Rosenborg player, Petter Belsvik. The last weeks we have waited for Brattbakk's 160th goal, which will place him all alone on the top.
Harald didn't become less popular when he secured extra time in the 2nd leg of the Champions League qualifyer against Maccabi Haifa in late August. In the 91st minute he scored a fantastic free kick (see video clip!). In the extra time RBK scored two more goals, and won 5-3 agg. |

Dere vet ikke om det er mulig å laste ned kampen mot Maccabi i sin helhet noe sted?
Peace |

Please write in English in the English forum.
However, I doubt you'll find the entire match anywhere public. Send me a private message and I might be able to help you. |

Now Brattbakk's Rosenborg career is over: His contract was cancelled today, as the club don't think they will need him this season.
166 in 255 league matches, 256 goals in 347 games. Thanks a million! |

That expression sounds almost ironic, but I know for sure that you mean every word! |

"Right now, I do of course have mixed feelings. I feel strong and in good physical shape, but at the same time I can understand the decision that is made," Brattbakk says.

I was hoping to see Rushfeldt and Brattbakk re-united at Lerkendal someday, they were my favourites... Guess it will never happen now
Thanks for everything, Kong Harald! _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

Does anyone know where Harald has gone? I have a caricature of him when he was with Celtic which I would like him to sign. |

He is still living here in Trondheim, but just for some more days: 5 February he moves to Florida to begin his pilot education (!). |

Do you have an email for him please. I would like to contact him. If not possible would you ask him to contact me at john@sportsmanscharity.com? We need him for a charity auction! Thanks! |

I have e-mailed you some contact info. You should probably try to phone him as he is on his way to the States.
Unfortunately I don't have any e-mail address. |

Talking about an unusual career move he never showed interest in becoming involved in the trainers world or staff of a club? _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

He is to clever to become some trainer/hidden staff member. The only job for him in RBK would be in the administration, Sports Director or something like that. |

Harald scored twice in the Phil O'Donnell tribute today:
Former players are like fine wines - every year they increase in body without ever losing their appeal. Harald Brattbakk scuffed and sclaffed his way through a couple of seasons at Parkhead but will always be remembered for scoring the crucial second goal in the 2-0 victory over St Johnstone on the final day of the 1998 season.
The Norwegian, now a qualified airline pilot, added another couple before half time yesterday as Celtic strolled in the sunshine.

Brattbakk watched Thursday's game on the internet and felt the passions stirring for his old club.
He said: "Continuity is the most important thing for any club. I want to see Celtic do well and, for me, that means holding on to Gordon."
Brattbakk's is back in Scotland to play in tomorrow's match for the late Phil O'Donnell. He said: "I'm proud to be back to honour his memory."
