Hello everybody!
I´m fan of MFK Ružomberok, and I´d like to greet Marek.
Does he sometimes attend this webpage? If yes, than hello Marek.

Besiktas bid rejected

The size is said to be 25-30 million NOK. Sapara was promised a yearly salary of around 9 milllion NOK, and is really disappointed.

"It is inserious of Rosenborg not talking to Besiktas. It is a big club and it was a great offer both for them and me. I feel really sad right now," Sapara said.

There seems to be big money in Turkey, Alanzinho and now possibly Sappy!

Would be a loss however I think if Besiktas come in with an improved offer, it might be difficult to turn down? Maybe Hamren could add one or two players of his own to the team with the money?

Wonder whether Besiktas will improve their bid in the next days. If we get 35M NOK, I think we should sell.

Skjelbred and Konan are good replacements in his attacking midfielder role.

By the way: TV2 interview with Sapara

if besiktas will pay that amount of money than we should sell. with that money rbk can definetevly buy a decent replacement and other few good players (especially if iversen will leave). With those money i'd buy gashi and occean as their replacements. After that there should be still money left to invest

Won't extend his contract

A sale this summer is highly likely.

We've done well to hold onto him for this long and hopefully he can have an impact in the time remaining. Will we need another playmarker though? Has Hamren got any Danish or Swedish players lined up I wonder?

One AAB player impressed me in the Champions League and UEFA Cup this year, Jeppe Curth?

We have Konan, Iversen and Skjelbred who could fill the position in their own ways. Konan is not likely to stay much longer than Sapara though.

Turkish newspaper Takvim claims Besiktas are willing to pay €1.5M for Sapara while Rosenborg demand €2.5M.

Sapara is worth more than €1.5m!

Besiktas talks the next days: Saparov prestup do Besiktasu je stále reálny

"I'm glad the Rosenborg managment decided to not put Marek on the Thursday's team, despite the coach's wishes. We were promised by Rosenborg during last winter that Marek can leave for a fair price.

"I wouldn't say that it automatically means that Marek goes to Besiktas, everything is still wide open and next week's negotiations make it all clear," told players' agent Karol Csontó of Stars & Friends.

Out of the blue: Sapara sold to Ankaragücü

I guess Rosenborg actually were kind of unsure where to place him in the starting line-up this year:

Annan, Demidov and Winsnes will be fighting for the two "holding" positions on the midfield while Iversen, Skjelbred, Moldskred, Olsen and Traoré possible all are candidates for the three attacking roles. Hopefully Skjelbred will be preferred in the "Sapara role".

(Prica, Iversen, Moldskred or Bakenga will be the lone striker.)

But in these harsh economical times the solid bid from Turkey likely made their decision. I don't know the size, but I will not be surprise if Rosenborg were offered somewhere between 10-15 million NOK. As several football "insiders" say: "To get big transfer fees, a player either should be good enough for the big leagues or a Turkish club must be desperate in the end of a transfer window..."

Good luck with all your new liras, Sapi - and thanks for many great matches and goals (on free kicks)! (29 goals in 107 matches were actually better than I remembered.)

Players’ wages have frequently been paid late, training has been cancelled and now he has been thrown out of his hotel.

Sapara says he hopes to help bring Ankaragucu, which is ranked 14th in Turkey's top division, into the Champions League.

You wish... Challenging the big three in Miklagard will be real hard - too hard.

I read the news this morning, it did seem to come out of the blue.

It's probably a great financial deal for RBK, selling a player who has one year left under contract and coming off a Championship season, basically selling him at possibly the highest point in the market.

Hopefully the club was able to secure something above the 30million NOK offer Beskitas made for Sappara last year.

I wish Marek luck, but honestly I hope he gets out of Turkey as soon as he can. That league is very competitive and the top clubs are Euro quality for sure-but you have to live in Turkey. Take the money Marek, play a while and get out when you can! RBK

Best of Luck!

Never in a billion years! The club was probably happy to get back the 13 millions we paid for him.

As written above, my "qualified guess" (Norwegian) is somewhere between 10-15 million NOK.

In November-December it somehow felt like Sapi actually was considering to extend his contract, but this seemingly was just a feeling of mine.

Sad information for me, but what can we do? Just to thank Marek and wish the best in uncertain destination... Maybe he will soon appreciate the life-conditions and standards in Norway.

Sapi was a good player for us and hopefully we have more than covered the initial transfer fee. We'll miss his free-kicks or long range shooting.

It will be a shame if he goes. I've had the pleasure of seeing him play twice and he's great.

This isn't official yet though is it? How far along in the process is the transfer?
