Baadshah said that the referees performance was poor in the match.

Norway played poorly! No question about it! It wasn't the referee who determined the result..

No? Norway scored a goal, but the referee didn't approve it. I don't understand why he didn't. But I think the match would have been somthing else if he had apporved the goal.

And therefore the referee sucked? If we'd been good enough, we would won the match.

Everybody makes mistakes, both players and referees.

I'm a referee myself, and hope that we will get the respect we deserves and need. Even tough, I can say that there are som bad refs. in Norway.

We would like to be there too... Our performance wasn´t so bad against the Nederlands but the result is clear - we need to win in Finland - it is the one chance how to get to Germany. But I hope we will manage it. Although we haven´t several (key) players such as Koller, Lokvenc, Plasil, Nedved (it is very difficult with him, problems with medias, the coach...). Confused

There are big chances Norway and Czech Rep. will meet in the play offs. You will be seeded, while we will be one of the three unseeded teams.

We have a fair chance of being seeded, actually! We need the following results on wednesday:

Group 3:
-Slovakia beats Russia at home (0-0 or 1-1 is also enough for Slovakia)

Group 4:
ONE of the following scenarios:

-France beats Cyprus at home AND a draw between Ireland and Switzerland.

-If Switzerland beats Ireland away, France need to beat Cyprus with at least 4 goals more than Switzerland beats Ireland (for example: Ireland-Switzerland 0-1 and France-Cyprus 5-0)

Group 7:
-Spain beats San-Marino away AND Bosnia-Hercegovina beats Serbia-Montenegro away

Its a small chance, but it's there Smile

The most difficult one will be that Bosnia MUST beat Serbia away... I also think that Ireland will beat Switzerland at home.

My guess is that we will NOT be seeded, and that we have to meet either Spain, Czech rep. or Turkey in the Play-off.

well, serbia vs bosnia is not a normal match, anything kan happen there. those 8000 serb murders on bosnians in sbrenica ten years ago should give a special atmosphere... hope not, though.

agree, check rep, spain and turkey most likely.
could be romania or denmark though.

worst case: check rep, spain, france
best case: slovakia, israel, bosnia

Does the Norwegian NT have a fanclub or fan messageboard?

I support Norway myself since the mid-nineties, when I started following international football to full extend. Never supported my native Belgium, I usually shout for the other team when Belgium plays. Just give me Norway Cool

Missing the WC was a pity, but with this group reaching the play-offs itself wasn't bad. With only Turkey as truely strong competitor and with them having lost their home advantages, Norway is in excellent position to qualify for the Euro 2008.

Not any official. That I actually think is quite nice. Looking to other sports (icehockey, handball etc.) where the official supporter clubs are a disgrace, I prefer to have a "flat supporter structure". After all, when it comes to the national teams all Norwegians are equal; we do support them. Idea

Nevertheless: You are warmly welcome to have your say on the NT in this forum.

I support the NT as well, despite being born in a different country. For foreign fans an official fanclub or even just an internet fanclub would be handy to stay up-to-date, as it is sometimes difficult to see the games (few foreign TV stations broadcast the games, and travelling to each game is too expensive)

It was a nice game, they used the korner kicks for goals. John Arne Riise had any chances for a goal, norway was at the end the better team.

Alexander Tettey helped much when the U21 national team won 1-0 over Spain tonight.

Read more: Good play by Tettey

Note that this is the Norwegian youth team. Perhaps this isn't the right thread; in that case, please move it.

Anyways I'm glad to see Tettey showing he is anything but mediocre. He does seem to be better when it comes to offensive play though. Ran like hell - both when it came to speed and quantity.
