| steaua were the better _TEAM_ but rosenborgs players are lightyears ahead both technically and physically. to the irishman: it is my opinion that rbks squad has never been better; its just that we had a crappy coach. youll see. next year well be back on top. |

What do you think about the crowd today? Awesome! Just 13000, but it has never been better at Lerkendal! We let in two goals, but everybody continued to support the team! |

Uff! We lost... Still can't quite believe it. We missed a huge opportunity to reach the CL and it seems to me we did it especially by missing too many goal-scoring chances in the first leg. Tonight Rosenborg DID look the better team but still we could have pulled it through in the dying minutes. Not enough experience, not enough luck. Maybe next year
Respect for Rosenborg and good luck in the CL. Looking forward to another meeting.

Physics is complex. If you think about strength, we are bettter. If you think about acceleration, retardation, jumping, stamina and general pace, Steaua was better. But physics did not mainly determine the match. Experience and tactical skills led to our victory. Do you really think we are better technically? In my opinion, Steaua has better ball control and passing abilities.
Anyway, I'm proud of Rosenborg! |

Our captain Roar Strand is an old man. True. But he's also had some muscle problems in his legs lately; normally he's fit enough. This was his match number 100 in European cups; he knows what it takes.
Unfortunately, due to injuries we had used up all our subs when the second half started. But hey, it worked ... |

Uh?? I think rather the opposite. The Steaua players were much better technically, perhaps as good physically, but Rosenborg was the better TEAM. |

That first half was completely awesome! During that period Rosenborg, for once, played like they used to. The ability to recapture the ball and make precise passes, and last but not least, the ability to create chances.

CONGRATULATION!!!! I can't believe this. We lost and not because of you but because of us and our lack of experience. U had a fantastic 70 minutes when u really looked like the old RBK i knew. It wasn't about strength, tehnics or something else. It was about EXPERIENCE and tactical knowledge (our coach made some mistakes and our players were afraid of the chance they had). Anyway guys u were right RBK is a different team at home (like STEAUA) than away. We have a long way to go until we become a strong team. GOOD LUCK IN THE CL groups.

In those first 70 minutes, Rosenborg played like we have been used to seeing them. The ''old' RBK we know... 
But anyway, thank you Steaua Bucuresti, for giving us a great fight and an evening to remember. I think you can be proud of your team

I didn't say that we can win the CL.
We are 22 times the Champions of Romania and 17 times the winners of Romanian Cub.
We won the CL in 1986 and one time we was the finalist in 1989
We won the European Supercup
We were finalists of Intercontinental Cup.
And, the last we have participated 6 times in row in CL.
Great palmares, isn't it? |

Thank you. But you can forget about that 4th place. 
Is it just me, or is this something very new? A supporter of the oppostition wishes us good luck! As far as I can remember, they have all been so frustrated. And some of them haven't forgotten it yet...

Thank you. But you can forget about that 4th place.
Is it just me, or is this something very new? A supporter of the oppostition wishes us good luck! As far as I can remember, they have all been so frustrated. And some of them haven't forgotten it yet... |
OK i forgot about the 4th place. I wanna see you on the 3rd place in Group Stage and then i wanna see the UEFA Cup match Rosenborg-Steaua. This will make me happy. |

Quite so. We haven't won anything in Europe. The closest thing we came was when we met Juventus in the quarter finals of the CL in 1997 [during the period Juventus drugged themselves  ] |
