I guess that the one who was sent off last match (against Shels) ,Dica, a midfielder, will be suspended for this match.

Steaua owner Becali doesn't seem like the nicest guy around:

Gigi Becali, one of the richest man in Romania does openly support the extreme right wing organization "Noua Dreapta". The organization has the same doctrine as the "Iron Guard", the extreme Nazi movement in Romania during the Second World War which is responsible for many killings including the pogrom of over 200 Jews during which the victims were put trough the entire cycle of the conveyor belt of the slaughtering house near Bucharest . A five-years old girl corpse was stamped as fit for consumption by the members of the "Iron Guard". On their website the Roma are considered to be "a subhuman group which steal our bread, replace our traditions, mug our brothers and kill our parents".

Romanian Champion owner and chairman George Becali is facing an eight month ban granted to him by the Romanian Football Association because of numerous insults delivered to the A Division referees.

A bit more humourous:

Having made headlines for promising to build a church for every round his team progressed through in the UEFA Cup, FC Steaua Bucuresti owner Gigi Becali has horrified some Romanian churchgoers by commissioning a remake of Leonardo Da Vinci's 'Last Supper' - with himself in the role of Christ.

A local artist updated the old master which now shows Becali surrounded by Steaua's coach and eleven of their players rather than the usual 12 apostles.

"I just hope his gesture will not be taken as blasphemy," said one source close to Becali.

This is exacly the kind of moronic expressions I hope we won't see too much of on this forum. I've been to Rumania 3 times. I love rumanians. No kindness on the football field though. Wink My apoligies aswell.

Blah. I found it both beautiful and interesting when I visited Romania. Especially the area around Transsilvania. It became a bit too hot further south for my liking, but still.

If you don't have a clue you might as well shut up.

Nicolae Dica and Dinita are banned for the game. Steaua will go to UEFA and try to show them that the red cards were big mistakes from the refere. This way we hope that Dica and Dinita will not be banned.

I respect the romanian people for what they have had to suffer because of mad dictators the last century. Ceaucescu used ten full national bugets to build his palace, didn't he? and WE complain about our politicians..

Thank you ... you know about Romania and our country is on the good road Tommel'n opp!

About our boss ... try to ignore him. He thinks that he is the most powerfull person in Romania and he is very stupid. He makes good things but big mistakes Tommel'n ned This is Gigi Becali Crying or Very sad

I must answer s0me1 and I'll leave after that.

Yes, I am a fan of Dinamo( it's spelled with a "D" not a "d" you know Razz ? ) and I a fan of RBK and Celtic Glasgow as well, because I have attended their matches and I was greatly impressed with their atmosphere in the stands. Obviously, that is not the reason why I support Dinamo Smile .
But ALL I said in my previous post is real. I live right across Steaua's stadium(odd, isn't it Smile ?) and there are many many homeless people in red and blue there, and I am ashamed to say this but it's the truth...
I didn't say you are not the biggest team in Romania or that you are not the most loved one, all I said is that in the direct match against us you were not able to fill your own half of the stadium and that were more Dinamo fans as well.

And in the light of the unfortunate game against Shelburne, you should not play in the CL, because all we(the Romanians) need in this moment is not another incident involving black people...

And as an answer to another fan above, no, sorry, our GPI is not in the first half of the world, and it will probably not be for the next couple of decades...

And to the other very very rude fan, who gives a **** you live in Norway? Have you ever been to Romania before? I've been to Norway and it's not as different as you might think...(well, you do have Bjorndalen and we don't Smile ).

Good luck everybody, see you in Bucharest.

Bye!

Oh, my beloved countryman! Such a nice thing to do, to come on other forums and throw dirt at Steaua and pretend to be caring for Romania at the same time. If I were to write here all the shameful and stupid things dinamu has done in it's history, I would have to create a special forum section. I imagine it is quite frustrating to you that while we play Rosenborg for a place in the CL groups, you play mighty Omonia Nicosia in the preliminary round of UEFA Cup (BTW, be very careful with them, you cannot buy the match or the referee, like you are used to do in the championship). If I add the fact that your team has never reached CL while we have played there several times, and we have by far the best performances both internally and in Europe, it is almost understandable what you are trying to do. Unfortunately for you, your words are just an annoying barking which will fade just after you exit Europe well before we do, as usual, and then you'll be busy counting how many matches you have to fix in order to stand a chance for the national title.
Finally, about nr of supporters: when we were fighting for the title this season, we had more fans at away matches than you did at home. Probably the real circus was far more interesting for your dedicated fans than the kind of performance you displayed during games againts teams who didn't know what to do to help you score the agreed number of goals.
Sorry, Rosenborg fans, for this long message, with no connection to the real subject here: the match between our teams.
About the game, I hope it will be a much better contest than the one with Shelbourne and may the best team go through!
I know you're having some difficult times in the national competition right now, but this does not in any way mean we will have an easy match. On the contrary, I still think you start as favourites, but I hope we can change that on the pitch. I also hope that those of you who travel to Romania will enjoy your trip and your visit here. We have a beautiful country with great people, but still there is much work to be done to get over the cursed heritage of the communist regime. I would have much to say on this matter, but politics is not the topic here, football is.
So, come and support your team in Bucharest and I hope you will only regret the final score. Smile

Won't be many fans going to Romania. This club doesn't like supporters following them. Too much noise for the drunken sponsor cunts. Oh, and our flags and colors obstruct the view of the pitch through their blood-shot, hang-over eyes, when they want to sit down and rest through the match so they can drink and look for hookers after that noisy 90-minute thing is done.

This is Rosenborg. Welcome.

We've won today our match. FC Arges - Steaua 0 - 1. A good opponent but in the end it ended well.

We lost at home against Lillestrøm SK. That hasn't happened since 1982. We're in deep shit and you should have no problem outclassing us.

Our manager did resign tonight and a new one has arrived. No idea what this will mean for the match against Steaua.

The only positive side is that we still do have players that supposedly are good, and maybe they can be trained to show themselves from a better side than they have so far this year ... but noone here counts on it.

I remember losing 2-7 to PSG. This could be as bad. Unless we come up with something really surprising during the next handfuls of hours.

Well, I don´t think it can be as bad as the Paris St. Germain-match... At least I don´t hope so Wink But Rosenborg is always better when they are playing in Europe. I think Rosenborg will make a draw i Romania, and they will win at home... But It´s really exciting, and the future will tell if I´m right or wrong Cool

Yeah cos Steuaouaua is such a class act? I personally wouldn't be surprised if they'll be given a beating by Rosenborg on wednesday.

usually; the match following a new coach hire ends up positive for the team; and I surely hope it goes that way this time too. Since Hogmo has been a national coach in several situations, and is used to having very little time to prepare new players for a match, I hope he will be the right man for the job this time.

And in any case; we are in the uefa cup anyway, aren't we?

Yep, in worse case we meet a unseeded "walkover" team like Ventspils in the 1st round of the UEFA Cup. In other words: We will either take part in the CL group phase or in the UEFA Cup group phase.

Or like Wisla Krakovia.... If I'm not wrong...

Nothing we can do, the communist seemed to be very inspired by the stars.... Like "you", the vikings, before them were. Idea

Funny you think Rosenborg has "no chance". Laughing One player cannot destroy a whole team. That´s what i believe, anyway. But we´ll see wednesday.
I think Rosenborg will have big problems winning, however, I believe in a draw match, but Steua will lose in Trondheim... Anyway, we are playing in Europe whether we winn or lose. Cool RBK
