Yeah, we needed that big time. Rosenborg might lose some points in the next games, and Stabæk should not have that much of a lead when they come to Trondheim in August.
Our next games are Ham-Kam, Viking and Tromsø away. Three hard opponents that we have struggled against earlier. |

FFK 4-0 LSK at the moment, It's unbelievable to think that Lillestrom could well end up being relegated. I think Ham Kam will save them from automatically dropping though.
Bodo winning again, they've had a great season. |

Lucky Molde, tho, making 2-2 with one player down. |

Still can't believe Molde's 8-0 win in the Cup tonight, that on the back of their 5-1 vs VIF.
Anyway, RBK's win tonight was vital after Stabaek's result on Monday. I think Viking are all but out of the race, they haven't lived up to expectations at all. Didn't see the game this evening but it's a good result in two ways' Steffen scored again and, importantly, we kept a clean sheet. |

It's the first time since 2006 we had a clean sheet when playing away, so the record stopped at 22 games. |

That was incredible. I was following it on VG. "Not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, but seven!" - but when I clicked the link it was 8! Haha _________________ thecomplexii.com - Founded 2005 |

Easy to see why Brann want Moldskred, what a crap result though!
Tromso are in good form but to lose two goals to Munoz, and the nature of the defeat, is worrying. Stabaek are further clear now, is it time to start panicking? |

On another note, think I recommeneded looking at buying Helge Hauge a while back to much disgust...he didn't look too bad in that game!
Also, goalkeeper may have been at fault for a couple, not to menton Lustig. As Hamren says, long way to go. |

What can you say after that?
Caught the last 30 minutes, sometimes you have to just admit that RBK were up against class in the form of Stabaek. Alanzinho's goal was impressive and his overall skills are amazing. Pall Gunnarson is under-rated IMO, a really clever player.
I guess we all knew the chances of winning gold were all but over after Tromso, that really showed our weaknesses. (Tromso stealing a late win all but assures we're out of it.)
Stabaek probably deserve the title this season and I now fully expect them to go on and win it. For RBK, we need to secure European football for next season. The question though must be why were well behind Stabaek, FFK and Tromso in this year's title race?
I guess Viking and Brann will be asking the same question! |

The one thing I like is the increasing competitiveness of the Norwegian league. It was obviously more fun when we had a monopoly on the championship, but at least while we're having a tough period there is no other club becoming dominant. In the years that we did not win the league there was always another club dominant, no other club managed to be a force for two years in a row. Valerenga won it one year but didn't come close again, Brann won it last year but they are nowhere near this season, while out of the blue Stabaek and Tromsø are suddenly competing near the top.
In the end this is more fun than to see a rival run away with it and become a dominant force. No other club is taking over our dominant role, so because no other club can win successive trophies we must still be ahead of the rest financially and generally. It would be really an issue if Brann or Valerenga would have become a dominant force, now no club seems to take over our leading role so we should be able to go back on a winning streak and win trophies soon.
The only other Norwegian club I somewhat like (without being a fan really) is Tromsø due to my fascination for the city itself. So if we really must lose the title to another club I would prefer Tromsø over Stabaek but I guess this is not going to happen. _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

0-0 tonight, does that say that both teams are playing pretty averagely this season? |

Not tonight. In large periods of the match there were just one team on the pitch(Rosenborg), but they can't get the bloody ball in the net. |

A good game actually, but Brann seemed frustrated and did not play very well. We should have won this game by two or three goals. |

We didn't win though, and a point is not going to get us anywhere nearer the summit despite how well we played. I think average is a term that would sum us up this season. Maybe you disagree?
Berisha had an excellent debut and I wouldn't be against his move being made permanent however it's clear we're lacking in attack. If Iversen moves on I suppose it will free up wages in this department. Storflor has shown at times over the years quality and I like him as a player. He has good pace and skill however is not a goalscorer.
We miss Kone's presence, Ya Konan doesn't seem to be in Hamren's plans at the moment either I don't think. |

No, mate. I totally agree. The results have all in all been average. But I assumed you didnt see the match against Brann and then I wanted to tell you that the result might misguide you a bit. It's too late to save this season in the league anyway, but the way we played against Brann is good news for the future. It shows that the team has a lot of potential if the players get right attitude, like they had on Sunday. But if we want to improve the results, we need to get a better goal ratio on our chances, I think everyone agree about that fact by now. |

Good result tonight, should have been a little more comfortable in the end. Still, we're starting to put wins together and with recent signings, things look better. |

Do you think there is a serious chance to be on medal position? I don´t want to watch e-cups without RBK next season. 7 points seem to be a huge loss but thanks to last results I hope it is not impossible to catch them... _________________ http://www.fb.com/norskyfotbal |

There is a decent chance for a medal this year, but we have to keep on winning games. There are 21 available points left, and I don't want to speculate how many we need, but obviously we can't afford to lose too much of them. |

Stabæk to play a tough match at Åråsen in ten minutes, against struggling Lillestrøm. LSK has showed some good results lately, so maybe Stabæk will lose space in the battle for the gold. I'd like to see Lillestrøm lose tho..
I have a dream, that some day will Lillestrøm relegate...
Rosenborg should concentrate on medals now, but we will see how good we are in Fredrikstad next weekend. FFK has drawn against two bad sides, while we have played quite well. Maybe we can avoid a loss there this season? |

Lets not get too excited. If we finish top3 it would be a great result given our rather inconsistent first half of the season. We need to play UEFA Cup, and focus on that. Once we are sure of that, if the title is still possible it would be great, but lets not skip steps and focus on securing a European ticket first.
Just a question to all of you: in what way do you think the improving results have to do with Erik Hamren being in charge now? The first months were really too inconsistent while improvement is there obviously now, still I hate to just blame it on a coach. I do have the impression though since Hamren is in Trondheim there is steady improvement. _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

Hamren has a lot to do with the improving preformance. He is without a doubt getting his message of how he wants to play to the players. He has made adjustments to what the players eat, this has gotten Sapara and Iversen in top shape. Also Lustig and in the latest match Dorsins contributions to the attacking play means a great deal for Rosenborg as our midfielders are not "wide" enough on the pitch without them. |
