Neither of the two teams impressed in the first leg in Trondheim (video highlights), and Everton coach David Moyes is already looking forward to a walk-over in the next round: We can win the UEFA Cup
Some bad geographical skills:
Liverpool Daily Post wrote: | Moyes, having seen his side beat Brann Bergen 2-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Cup last 32 tie with the Norwegian champions, stayed on to take a 45-minute flight to Oslo to see the clash between Rosenborg and Fiorentina last night. |
I have to say that I don't have any big hopes in front of the return leg in Firenze. The Rosenborg players are not match fit.
Rosenborg have played 20 matches in European cups in the period of December until March, and just won twice. Our last away point came in Athen ten years ago, when we should have won and go through to the quarter final. Instead Olympiakos scored on a bad freekick in the 87th minute, making Juventus in another group the next best runner up. One of the worst moments in the Rosenborg history!
On the other side, we have just lost once and scored in every away match in Europe 2007/08:
Astana - Rosenborg 1-3
Tampere - Rosenborg 0-3
Chelsea - Rosenborg 1-1
Valencia - Rosenborg 0-2
Schalke - Rosenborg 3-1
Both me and Rosenborg are flying to Italy already on Monday. Rosenborg will have a mini training camp at Coverciano, while I will spend some days in Roma. |

No, taking a few days off in Rome before moving north to Florence on Wednesday. |

Probably not, if he is going to Roma. Are you going to Roma-Real Madrid too? You cant miss such a game when you are in the same town anyway
0-1 is not an impossible result to come back from, but I doubt we manage to score twice or keep the zero. I think we lose 2-1. |

We'll see what we do Tuesday night. Was counting on getting tickets from a good source, but he failed, so we have to consider "second hand" tickets... |

In Italy, not many people care about the CL, they care much more about Serie A. As a consequence, usually CL games are not sold out. You can probably buy AS Roma tickets on the day of the game at the gates. And if not, on the streets there are always people selling second hand tickets, usually shortly before the game they will drop their prices drastically in order not to be left with any unsold tickets.
As for Fiorentina... I think it is clear we should not expect too much, but it is not impossible to make a comeback from 0-1. We should aim at scoring early in the game, then I think Fiorentina may get nervous and leave us room to counterstrike. An early goal will be key I think. It is not impossible to win 0-2 in Firenze, but I think we should also not really count on it. The pressure is with the opposition, and we have nothing to lose, which may be a benefit for us. _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

That depends on which italians you are talking with For Milan-supporters, the CL-trophy is the biggest thing. Even bigger than the Serie A. But Inter-supporters have been longing for the Serie A-trophy so long, that they see it as the biggest. |
