If Brann won the league, and thats a big if, then he might be persuaded to stay there with a chance of Champions League football. Maybe RBK can offer him more money if they make the Champions League this season on the other hand.

Mikael Antonsson chose Panathinaikos instead of Rosenborg last summer, but after a season with little playtime in Greece, RBK are going to try again.

Rosenborg are interested in a new defender, and Nilsson might be what they are looking for.

RBK have supposedly come to an agreement with Odd. Rosenborg will buy Nilsson for 8 million Norwegian crowns (almost exactly one million Euros) and lend Kone to them for half a season in return. Sounds like a sweet deal.

But on the other hand Pelle isn't that fast. Paired with Koppinen our mid-defense might become a tad slow.

Andreas Sørgård Olsen was on trial the two last days, but was not offered any contract.

According to czech newspaper Sport - Rosenborg is interested in Martin Fillo from FC Viktoria Plzen. The offered amount is 2,5 mil euro. Fillo is a good midfielder and he is very young - profile is here: http://www.fcviktoria.cz/...d_hrace=46

Hmm. Interresting, but do we really need another midfielder? Our first piority should be to strengthen our weak defence.

Is he a central midfielder? €2.5m sounds however much.

Can you please translate this?

„Určitě to ale není Rosenborg Trondheim, jak se uvádělo v některých médiích, Je to jiný norský klub, jeho jméno ale zatím zveřejňovat nechceme. O Martina Filla se zajímají i jiné kluby,“ dodal Ladislav Valášek.

Who is Valasek?

(O Filla se zajímá norský klub)

If you google the name, you get "Prezident plzeňského klubu Ladislav Valášek." Not that I speak czech, but I guess that means club president.

Did get a translation now:

Quote:
It says that Martin Fillo has attracted an interest of some Norwegian club who followed him at last weekend's match. However according to Valasek, who's something of a chairman of the board of Plzen, this club is not Rosenborg Trondheim as was rumoured.

Seems like this ends this matter.

What am I reading about Dorsin leaving on the Nyorsk version?

Any other rumours as players are coming towards th end of their contracts?

I still think RBK should have signed Nilsson at Odd but then again maybe we couldn't match their valuation. Surely though we will be looking at defenders.

Yeah, looking pretty thin in the back four next season. Dorsin and Koppinen leaves, Kvarme retires and Nordvik's contract is lasting until 31.12 and he still haven't sign a new one. And probaly Strand will retire too.

That leaves us with Basma and Stoor as the defenders stil under contract next season. And Traore if we use him a left-back, something KTE seems to be wanting to do..

Said short: RBK needs to go defender-shopping!

That's not the only area we need to strengthen either if we're to challenge, no doubt LSK and Stabaek will/are improving their squads not to mention a resurgent VIF.

Worrying times at the moment but i'm sure we are looking at many players, hopefully decent quality ones too.

Trying to bring life in this thread again:

Today Lars Ricken got the permission to leave Borussia Dortmund for free. Ricken is still known to be one of the best player of the 1997-final in Champions League, when Dortmund has beaten Juventus.
He is 31 and a offensive midfielder.
I would suggest him to be a good choice for RBK. He had problems the last 2,3 years but he is still a fantastic player. At least he is a player of international standard, who could help the team, although we have a good midfield with Tettey, Skjelbred, Sapara...
If RBK has a look to foreign players, they should also look to Germany.

I bet Ricken wants a salary of more than €350k, which Rosenborg can offer.

Havent thaught about that Confused But he is going on a free transfer tho. Shouldnt it be posible to give him a good sallary and still not spend less money than for instance 8 mill. on an avrage norwegian premier league player (Bjørkøy)

Well, Ricken cannot ask for a too high salary. He has to find a compromise, if he does not want to play 3rd German Division. And IMO RBK is much better than 3rd division Very Happy with chances to play in Champions League (and maybe play another final!)
I still think that one has to look for such players, he would definitely help the squad! Wink
And not every player on a international standard wants to much money. Three, four years ago Alex Meier was a player I suggested. He was nearly unknown - could have come to Trondheim for not too much, I guess! Now he is in Frankfurt and a good forward!

Seems so... Luckily we have Erik Hoftun back as assistant director of sports, and he might do a comeback. Wink

You will maybe laughing, but I think Hoftun would be better than let a young player play against a team like Fiorentina! Razz First of all, I have a reason to wear my Hoftun-drakt again! Oh, I have missed Erik in Trondhjem, but now he is home! But time will show, if he has also qualities in the management position. He has shown it in Bodø, but it was 2nd division!

As for new players/defenders: I am really waiting for some action on the market! Maybe Hagen? Neutral
