Yeah sure, but think about it this way, the top Israeli clubs are down the league table, with not even 1 win after 2 games, not to mention a point, I don't remember us playing to get out of the red line since I ever started cheering for Maccabi and when you get to think about it you can't believe last year we got to beat clubs like CSKA and now we can't get a point in a weak league like ours. _________________ ~GA

I hope Hapoel wins it. I am unsure why, but Swedish football never floated my boat like the football in the other Scandinavian countries attracts me. Unless the stadium is full of females of course, then Sweden is top of the bill _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

Yeah Swedish girls can do really good, I'd go to sit with them just for the girls
But as for Hapoel......They will beat the hell out of Solna _________________ ~GA

Something that came to my mind the last days:
Rosenborg is very near to play EC in early 2008 - maybe CL, maybe UEFA-Cup... But we are missing important players as Dorsin and Koppinen, maybe Strand, too (Kvarme... ? )!
That´s almost the complete defense-line. Of course RBK has already some new players in their focus. But can we use them in EC???
Bjørkøy could come to Trondheim - but he played with FFK in UEFA-Cup-qualifiers. Huseklepp was in action for Brann. These two should be out of the RBK-team in EC, if they´ll come to Trondheim.
The same for possible new players from VIF or LSK, becuase a player is allowed to play for one team only in a season (in EC).
What do you think about these dilemma? _________________ Hilsen fra Tyskland |

If we play in the Champs League, we can use Bjørkøy. But he and the others will be cup-tied in the UEFA Cup.
Another problem is that we only may register three additional players. If both Strand and Kvarme retire, we have lost five defenders... |

I think Strand and Kvarme will delay their retirement until we are knocked out of CL or UEFA Cup |

I have read this article http://www.rbkweb.no/vis/5694
and found the quote:
Poengfangsten i år er som følger:
Kvalifisering for gruppespillet: 3 bonuspoeng
To seire: 4 poeng
Én uavgjort: 1 poeng
Snitt norske lag: 1,65 poeng
_________________
Samlet: 9,65 poeng
As I know Rosenborg gets additional points from the qualiying, which are halfed. 4 wins --> 4 points. _________________ Hilsen fra Tyskland |

No, these points only count on the nations ranking, not the club ranking. |

Helsingborg will of course be the best possible draw in the 3rd round of the UEFA Cup.
If we don't get them, I want a trip to Florence, but I guess we meet Spartak Moscow or something. |

Like all teams finishing 3rd in their Champions League group, we will be playing against a team finishing second in their UEFA Cup group.
Ideally I think we would get Helsingborg or Spartak Moscow. Against those we won't have a disadvantage of playing against a team in the middle of their season (while our players will lack match rhythm). For the sake of a nice derby, I'd say Helsingborg would be the very best draw. _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

Surprise surprise. Like Tampere-Rosenborg last season. Them both were happy with the draw.
Hey, if they are agreed, there is no need for a draw, is it? |

There's a good reason why we wish for Helsingborg and vice verca. Both teames are out of season in february, and therefore a game them between will be the best canche for both teams to go trough to the next round. _________________ Det er bedre å stupe ut i smørøyet enn å gå rundt grøten! |

Well, Basel and AZ Alkmaar would be "overkommelig" as they are not so good as they once were. Unfortunately it is the same for us. Nürnberg would be another good match, big problems in German league. Helsingborg is not one of the biggest name but they played good in their group i.e. beating Galatasaray And I am afraid of Henke - would be a nice fight between him and Ivers!
It does not matter who will be our opponent, we have to play our match and not to focus to much on them! But it is time to buy some x-mas-gifts (les: players)! _________________ Hilsen fra Tyskland |

Ive a feeling that Panathinaikos will be drawn against us. If so, a fair draw. We have done great against them earlier. |

Rosenborg possible opposits:
Nürnberg
Panathinaikos
Fiorentina
Basel
Spartak Moscow
Braga
Tottenham
Helsingborg
I want:
Helsingborg
Not only a Nordic derby, but a match between two teams in pre-season. I think this is the only opportunity Rosenborg have.
Spartak Moscow
Spartak are also in pre-season, but far better than Henrik Larsson & co.
Panathinaikos
Greek team out of form. Greek teams hate the Norwegian winter weather.
Braga
Not a very good team, and a Portugeese team will spend a hard time in Trondheim.
Tottenham
A very hard match, but there are bright sides with this draw: Many people will watch us and Spurs are on the wrong part of the Premiership score.
Nürnberg
German cup champions of 2007. We beat them 1-0 in July when they were in pre-season. But I highly dont want a German side in the third round.
Fiorentina
Dear God let us get another team. Fiorentina are goooood. |

I have a strange feeling of drawing Spartak Moskva. If so, our avantage of the Norwegian winter is equalized. |

I think it will be Panathaniakos for RBK for some reason. Brann qualified too tonight, let's see if we can go further than them. It's sad that no Scottish teams can play RBK but you never know if we progress.
Just back from the Aberdeen-FCK match tonight, they were beaten badly!
Solbakken for RBK after tonight? |

Hopefully not. His kind of football (à la Lillestrøm) is not anything for us.
Nevertheless funny that FCK took one "hell of a beating" tonight. |

You mean physical?
Hangeland was not playing but he is obviously a massive presence for them. They are a strong outfit though, Hutchinson is a player ia admire. But they're out and Aberdeen have Munich to play next up! |
