For work purposes I am going to be spending some time on frequent basis in Holland (I work for the offshore branch of a Dutch company). With Gelsenkirchen nearby and as I am in Holland that particular week, I would be very keen on attending the game. It has been a couple of seasons since I last had the chance of seeing Rosenborg live, and this seems like the excellent opportunity to finally see a game LIVE again.

Can somebody tell me how I can order a ticket for the Rosenborg area of the stadium? I thought of emailing Schalke 04 ticketbox but for the away fans they will probably refer to Rosenborg.
Can someone tell me how I can purchase a ticket?

Send an email to Grete.Oiaas@rbk.no to request a ticket to the away section in Gelsenkirchen.

I'm considering going, at may end up to be Supermann Strands last game. However, as a poor student it will take a large bite of my monthly budget...

Apparently ticket sales start next week on Wednesday or Thursday.

No reply from Grete yet but I assume she has received my email and will let me know when I can book the ticket online?

I'm going, and I know quite a few others are too. Many are staying at hotels in Düsseldorf rather than Gelsenkirchen (myself included) so we'll probably get drunk somewhere in downtown Düsseldorf a couple of nights before matchday.

The poor lady is stressed down with the season tickets sale, but I'll pretty sure you will get your info in good time for the match. Sadly the away supporters' section won't be sold out.

She has always been very reliable. At least when it comes to my orders. I'm sure she will contact you in time.

Well, I am going to see this match as I am native Gelsenkirchener.
This will be really fun, but there´s just one open question.
Where shall I sit? I don´t know, as long as I can sit on the main tribune for free - or in the RBK-section! Wink
Doesn´t matter, it´s just important to win in GE - and when I was at the stadium, RBK won every match (also against Valencia...). And I don´t want that series to end! Smile

Will some RBK-fans come to Gelsenkirchen or just stay in Düsseldorf. It would be nice to be in a norwegian group again. The last days of october, when I was in Trondheim, are so long away yet!

Welcome to Gelsenkirchen and enjoy the match! RBK

Ticketsales have started. I have ordered my ticket already Cool

UPDATE: my ticket is paid and confirmed! I received an email from billett@rbk.no confirming the purchase. It was a nice email, starting with "heia Roooooooooooosenborg!" Smile Rather weird to receive that from the club, you would expect this sort of emails from a fan but not from a ticket office. But it was charming in a way Smile

Anyways, my ticket is confirmed! Hope to meet some of the forum members in Gelsenkirchen. Does anybody know what bar we're going to visit before and after the game?

Here are a lot of bars... Wink
Let´s see who will join us. I would be interested, but two are too few...
C'mon!

To those interested: the day of the game or the day afterwards I am going on a groundhopping trip in the area. There are some really nice old stadiums in the area, two of them are in Gelsenkirchen, one is in Dusseldorf (which also has a big modern football temple) and further on Herne and Essen have some very nice stadiums. If anyone is interested in joining, I am going to visit the two old Gelsenkirchen stadiums before the game, and the day afterwards I am going to take the train to Herne to visit the stadium there. I hope to also do Dusseldorf.

Which stadiums will you visit in Gelsenkirchen?
The old S04-stadium "Parkstadion" is next to the Arena, but nearly crushed down.
Then we have Lüttinghof in Hassel and Südstadion in Ückendorf.
The Südstadion was my home-area until I left Eintracht Gelsenkirchen in summer 2007. Rolling Eyes

there's also the Glückauf-Kampfbahn. I will visit Glückauf, Parkstadion, and probably if I have the time 1 or 2 stadiums in the towns near Gelsenkirchen (will be a choice between Dusseldorf, Herne, Ückendorf, Essen...)

I must say it is nice that in Gelsenkirchen both the old stadiums of S04 still exist. I am not sure if Parkstadion is still used, but the Glückauf Kampfbahn is used by amateur club Schalke-Teutonia.

Rosenborg BK Trondheim - Chelsea FC 0:4
Valencia FC - FC Schalke 04 0:0

1. Chelsea 11
2. Rosenborg 7
3. Schalke 5
4. Valencia 4

If Valencia wins, it does not matter. Rosenborg has secured the third place. Now it is a final in Gelsenkirchen, between RBK and S04. A draw is enough for us. Also a win will of course lead to rank 2.
If Schalke will win, they are second and Rosenborg is qualified for the UEFA-cup.
That is ure, because in European Cup the direct duel is counted. That means that if RBK even has a worse goal difference than Valencia, is at the KO-stage for beating the Spains with two 2:0!

This situation proves that the system works well! Cool

The battle in Gelsenkirchen will be really interesting. For the first time since Milano in 96, we play a real "knock out" match in the group stage.

I predict Schalke to score at least once. Then it is up to us also to score.

Kone can't play any worse than he did against Chelsea so there is hope. I agree about Schalke, we need to match them for goals and our best hope is from a set piece IMO.

It looked as if all the players were short of match fitness against Chelsea, any matches planned before the Schalke game ?

RBK are considering arranging one, but most Scandinavian clubs have already started their holidays. And Brann are not interested since they are playing Basel already next week.
