This is the really hot topic in Norway tonight: Käerjéng - Lillestrøm 1-0

Being knocked out of the UEFA Cup by the 8th best team in Luxembourg is a big shame for Norwegian football, and the Lillestrøm CEO was almost crying in a telephone interview on TV some minutes ago.

Norway will never climb on the UEFA nation ranking when no other club than Rosenborg gives a shit.

It's funny, but results like this ruins Rosenborg's UEFA coefficient...

I think this is the best draw that could happen. But still Levski is a good team and games will be too challenging. Good luck to us!

I'll start worrying about Levski next week. Until then, let's just make sure it won't be Levski and Astana playing for that CL slot.

I can say, that there were too harder teams as Fenerbahce, Zvezda e.t.c. We have job to do - eliminate Tampere UTD. I'm sure, that will be so, we put them at least 3 goals. Then we'll see who is the better team - Levski or Rosenborg. One can i tell - in Sofia you'll see one big blue hell - 40 000 fanatic fans, singing together, fires, bombs...

Regardless of which team going through, this was the best option for RBK in the draw today. Levski lost all six matches against Chelsea, Barcelona and Werder Bremen with 1-17 in goal difference, and six years ago they barely knocked Brann out of the 2nd qualifying round to the Champions League with 1-1 at away and 0-0 at home.

Tampere's European record is very poor. In 2002 they lost 0-6 to Pyunik Yerevan in the qualifiers, and in this year's first round, Murata of San Marino was 1-0 ahead in the away match before Tampere turned around, won 2-1 and 2-0 in the return leg. Goalkeeper Mikko Kavén (Vålerenga) and midfielder Jarkko Wiss (Molde, Moss are Lillestrøm) are by the way familiar faces from the Norwegian league.

Wow, we couldn't have asked for a better draw. Of the two teams I'd rather play Levski. However, it doesn't matter that much because Rosenborg can beat either team. Go RBK!

Well the draw could have been better. Personaly I prefered a Balkan derby. We will have hard times with your team. We usualy don't play very successfuly against Scandinavian teams. As was the situation with Tampere. You will have hard time here though. The stadium will be most probably full and also we rarely lose home games to someone who is not from the big 4 tournaments in Europe. We aren't so successful away so I can't pridict who will proceed to the group stage. Nevertheless this is going to be and interesting tie.

It's a great draw, that's not in doubt. When you look at around at some of the opponents RBK have avoided too.

Still, Astana need to be put away and then it will take a decent effort to get past either team, despite the home advantage in the 2nd leg.

So we got a derby vs Tampere United. An easier draw could not be possible for us really. 12th CL in 14 seasons time seems like a certainty almost before a ball is even kicked in that final qualifier. Of course, let's not make the same mistake that Levski did and take Tampere serious. But... we could have just as well had Liverpool, Sevilla, Fenerbahce or Valencia or so. So who the hell with complain with Tampere United?? Also, it is the cheapest possible trip for the club, combined with the huge financial bonus if we proceed this must be a serious financial win for Rosenborg.

Now THAT is about as loose a definition of 'derby' as I've ever seen... Very Happy

Yes "derby" is a wrong word for that. A "nordic inferno" sounds better
