V

It looks like Panathinaikos will have a pretty cold evening next week when they come to Trondheim.

It have been snowing the last days (right now a combination of snow and cold rain!), and in the end of the week the temperature will drop to -11°C! Wink I don't know exactly how cold/warm it will be next Wednesday, but I'm sure you Greeks will be freezing.

By the way, since our last game in September both clubs have changed their coach. Ola By Rise was sacked when the Norwegian league ended two weeks ago, and his assistant Per Joar Hansen replaced him.

Hansen made his debut in the premiere of brand new Royal League (new Scandinavian winter tournament). The home game against Djurgården (Sweden) ended 4-4, after RBK had lead 2-0 and 3-2. Rosenborg had around 30 goal attempts, and the attacking play was just great. The defense wasn't that good, but not that bad either: 3 of the 4 Swedish goals came after mistakes from our goalkeeper Espen Johnsen.

Rosenborg missed four key players in this match: Ørjan Berg (midfield), Vidar Riseth (central defender), Christer Basma (right back) and Roar Strand (midfield) were all injured. Strand might be back against Panathinaikos, while the other three will be out.

Lol, didn't really that part. But still, we did only have 4 defenders for that match because of that. 3 of those 4 were left backs (if you count Hansén as one).

Hi, welcome to this forum, PORIOTIS!

It's Skonto Riga in Latvia who is "ruining" our record. Last week they won their 14th league title in a row, one more than us.

"We wanted to grab our 14th and overtake the Norwegians," Skonto coach Jurijs Andrejevs said.

Read more: Skonto celebrate another success.

By the way: Do you know how many Greeks there will be in Trondheim next week, PORIOTIS?

thanks 2mas. good to be here.

it seems like its going to be around 1000 of us - thats a decision our board will need to take as they have been treating us very poorly in the last year or so - most recent with the game vs arsenal.

Hello! Cool
to PORIOTIS: Great to see you here!! What do you think about your new coach Zdenek Scasny and player Ruda Skacel? Do you like them?
Rosenborg will win 2:1, what do you think? I hoped the Czech TV will broadcast match RBK-PAO thanks to the two, but they have chosen PSV-AFC Crying or Very sad .

hey man.

i think scasny is a decent coach who is very knowledgeable about football and in general the football team who will have nothing less than 100% from everyone. scacel for me has still to prove himself but, he is showing signs of becoming a valuable player in the left hand side, thats an area panathinaikos has been suffering in for a while.

Thanks! PSV should win too, if RBK should have any chance to remain in the E-Cup after Christmas.

By the way:

I hear that there will be around 850 Panathinaikos fans at Lerkendal tomorrow night. Sounds great!

Yesterday it was aprox. minus 11 degrees, today minus 3 degrees and tomorrow the forecasts say 1-2 degrees (plus). The bad thing about this is that this kind of winter weather makes it begin to snow. Tomorrow afternoon it is expected 15 cm with new, wet snow. Because of this Rosenborg have asked the National Guard (Heimevernet in Norwegian) to send 60 soldiers from the Værnes Base to shovel the snow off the pitch.

...and; during the game it might begin to rain; ice cold drops of water that is. Rolling Eyes

Well, there's certainly nothing 'maybe' about the weathersituation right now, ten minutes before kickoff. It's been raining cats and dogs for hours today, despite snowfall earlier on.

I would definitely have preferred snow to this miserable rain, but perhaps it makes no difference to the Greeks either way.. you're not going to have a pleasant time on the pitch anyway Wink

On behalf of all PSV-fans: THANKS THANKS THANKS, ONE THOUSAND THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

especially to Thorstein Helstad: if I should ever see you: remind me to buy you a beer! This was the 9th time in a row we were in the first round of the Champions League, but every year again, we just missed the second round. And now, for the first time ever, we reached the second round---> Thank you Thorstein!

Norway although dressed in white was one of the most beautiful places i ever saw - and i have seen a lot of places following Panathinaikos.

Respect to you Norwegians - you are the best people i ever had the chance to talk to.

About the game what can i say.. we lost it ourselves i think.
