Hi there,
I am trying to buy a copy of the Rosenborg album, but CDON (the company you go to if you click on the CD's link) does not send CD's to Australia (where i am), does anyone know of a store or somewhere else that i can do a mail order for this CD?

just wondering could anyone translate some of the songs en engelsk,vaer sa snill.
as my norwegian is limited at the minute although some of the are obvious,example-kongen av lerkendal (king of lerkendal)

Is any player singing on the album in fact? Some clubs released a CD as well and had 1 song sung by the players. Usually the singing is not really that fantastic  but it can be good fun to hear.
I am probably coming to Norway agian shortly so hopefully I can find a copy of the CD. I am not very familiar with internet shopping, so I was hoping to find the CD in the stores during my visit to oslo recently. Bad luck though, they didn't have it. I only checked Free Record Shop though as I thought that'd be the best bet, maybe I made a mistake there.

Not of today's playesr, no! But song #11 is performed by the one and only!

Slightly off topic but for Mr St Pats, we at Shelbourne used to have our own version of The Wild Rover recorded (for those not knowing: one of ireland's most famous folk songs). There is one line in it which may be a bit unpleasant for you but remember Shels and Pats are a bit rivals ...
(on the tune of The Wild Rover)

Ah, after signing his new contract this week, finally a player that sticks to his promise even if he promised it in a song
Any other players that sing?
Is the CD for sale in any record store or is it really inevittable to use the online shop? (I only ordered a CD once online and was afraid it'd arrive broken in the mail, hence why I prefer to just buy it in a real shop... and I will be back in Norway in a couple of weeks normally so I could easily visit a record store that sells it?)

A rough translation for Kongen av Lerkendal. The lyrics are a bit cheesy and can seem a bit misplaced occasionally - but don't blame me, I'm just the messenger!

(1) 'Østlandet': literally means 'eastern country', the area around Oslo. The team in question is Moss (now in adeccoligaen) who won the ligue, with nils arne eggen at the helm, in 1987.
(2) If I'm not mistaken, Dag Ingebrigsten and Thorstein Flakne were the people behind 'Rosenborgsangen' from 1988 (' Å rosenborg, å Rosenborg - e' trånnjæms fotball-lag')
(3) 'Trønder': person from the region around Trondheim
(4) The eastern stand at Lerkendal stadion, where the stadium clock is situated (hence the name).
(5) I don't know if there exist an english equivalent to 'sinnatagg'. Any ideas? |
