Watching now on Sky, it looks cold! Very Happy

They've said it's a cracking atmosphere too. We're playing a 4-3-2-1 tonight!

Actually to me it rather seems like we are playing 4-3-1-2.

We've played well so far, we should be winning although we haven't tested Canazares as yet. Traore's best game for RBK so far i think.

Wonderful performance, why didn't we do that against Schalke. Lots of star performers, Traore, Tettey, Kvarme, Kone and Strand were fantastic. It's extraordinary we can look so solid at the back tonight yet concede 4 to LSK.

We now have a chance for UEFA Cup, I just wish we could have taken a point of Schalke. A big question for me is, can the club dismiss Torum after the heart and overall effort of the team tonight?

Great result though and more importantly, our best performance of the season. (London aside.)

Fcuking yes!! What a sensation! Cool

Should we consider this amongst the most legendary European nights of Rosenborg? We beat Real Madrid in the nineties but I think this comes very close ... Valencia is top-3 in Europe's strongest league. I rate this victory amongst the best results we have ever gotten in Europe. Sensational!

Thank you! This might be our greatest victory of all times. We have beaten Milan and Dortmund away and Real Madrid at home, but then we were at our best (late 90's). Now we're struggling in the Norwegian league, but we did still beat Valencia, which must be one of the top ten teams in the world. Not only that: We did it in a convincing way. Valencia was helpless!

Our midfield was very young too. We always play 4-3-3, but today we played 4-4-2 with a diamond on the midfield: Tettey (21), Skjelbred (20), Traore (18 ) and Sapara (25). I have never seen a Norwegian team having this passing security before. It was sick.

Skjelbred recently figured on the list of the 50 most talented players in the world. Guerin Sportivo made the list.

I'm too drunk to write properly, but I hope it was helpful.

Rosenborg has been in a transition the last few years, which has resulted in two championships and two (possible) 6th and/or 7th place finishes in the last 4 years, after having dominated the Norwewgian league the last 13 or more years. The generation shift was inevitable, and has been painful for many of the fans, as well as for the administration, who have gone through 6 (possibly 7...) coaches the last 5 years.

In the light of the turbulence surrounding the club, and considering the number of youth we now have on the roster, the way we beat Valencia today was fantastic. We played aggressive, and stuck to the game plan of stopping Valencia from playing their game, while proving why Lerkendal Stadion, our home field, is a fortress in the North. It is also interesting to point out that Nils Arne Eggen, the coach that originally took Rosenborg to the status it has today, was actively involved in spying on Valencia and laying down the game plan that would lead to this victory. We feel that it was a deserved win with the run of play; and not a fluke, contrary to our tie with chelsea earlier in this season.

Rosenborg Sink Valencia To Go Second
Rosenborg earned a thoroughly deserved 2-0 victory over the Spanish side after bossing the game from the first minute.

Tommel'n opp!

The phoenix rose! Contrary to all expectations, Rosenborg delivered one of the greatest accomplishments in Norwegian football history last night.

In theory they "parted on mutual agreement" which sounds nicer than "fired" Wink
