I think they can win, but it is best value in Cork's odds tonight. |

rosenborg played djurgården (which means "the zoo") twice this winter in royal league. it was 4-4 at home, where we was the better team but gave away cheap goals, then we won 1-0 away.
I'd say they are not far from bohemians' level, judging on their results against steaua this year. |

Cork City - Djurgården 0-0. The Irishmen are through (1-1 in Stockholm). |

Sweden has a really good national team, and has exellent players in big clubs in Europe, like Ljungberg (Arsenal) and H Larsson (Barcelona).
But their home league sucks. _________________

Great result for cork last night, it is a big relief for irish teams to be finally competing well against "bigger" teams..
the eircom league changed to summer football in a bid to copy scandinavian success and ironically enough cork have knocked two swedish teams out in the last two seasons(malmo and djurgarden)
congratulations on your result against steaua during the week and good luck in the group stages... |

The UEFA draw... Steaua - Vallerenga IF...
Maybe you could tell us more about this club... _________________ Yup, mein Name ist Harald, bin Siebenbürger Sachse, Mitglied der Lutherischen Kirche (hmmm, ich habe bislang alles gemeinsam wie die Norweger!) Good in defence. They lost on penaltys at Brugge. Very good Goalkeeper, that played in Rosenborg until 1st Jan 2004, left as Bosmanplayer..
Some old norwegian stars from the 90's. T.A.Flo (former Rangers, Chelsea, Siena... Very Good for Norway as we beat Brazil 2-1 in World Cup 98, scored one, and got a penalty) and Ronny Johnsen (CL winner for Man U, also played in Aston Villa, Newcastle and Besiktas), but these seesm to be a little fallen stars now.
Biggest star is Steffen Iversen (former RBK, Tottenham and Wolverhampton) but he is by rumours linked to Mallorca after they failed to qualify for CL. Without him they are having trouble with all the offensive play.
Promising players in midfielders Grindheim (debut for Norway last week), Gashi and attacker Fredheim Holm.
Look out for the divers Berre and Hulsker. Hulsker actually had a 100% chance in the extra time at Brugge, but did not shoot because he was waiting to be fouled. This is his excact words to the press after the match
Your chance is to let them get few goals in Norway as they are hard to break anyway, and they do not play much attack away. If you get a goal in Norway you are very close, 1-1 I'd say your chance is 95% |

Hmmmm....
This kind of play doesn't suit us well.... Trying to strike a goal against teams which make baricades around their post. Like the first leg against Shelbourne...
What id your guess at the first sight?? Which team do you predict to go to the group-stages?
And another thing... is there a special relationship (good or bad) between your clubs?? rosenborg and Vallerenga... _________________ Yup, mein Name ist Harald, bin Siebenbürger Sachse, Mitglied der Lutherischen Kirche (hmmm, ich habe bislang alles gemeinsam wie die Norweger!) Historically, in spite of two good periods in the 60s and 80s, VÃ¥lerenga never have been our biggest rivals. But the last years, they have been picking up all kinds of players from our archrival Molde, making themselves "Moldenga". I would say I dislike their players and coach, not the club.
Rosenborg's normally biggest rivals are Brann, Molde and Lillestrøm. |

vaalerenga. everybody hates them. its not something im making up. one of klanens (vaalerengas supporters) slogans is "everybody hates us".
to give you a hint: some of thier players, esp iversen, wæhler and gashi (three of their four best players) are extremely short tempered. try to pinch him one or two times and im certain that youll se fists flying and them getting red cards. wæhler got a red card for this in the match against brugge. i wouldnt want you to do this against anyone else, but as i said vif doesent know what fair play mans.
i hope you will crush vif so that everyone will be able to see that rbk are scandinavias best team. |

The relations is kind of strange. Many old RBK stars have been playing for VIF as well. Odd Iversen (legendary striker and father of Steffen), Nils A. Eggen (our legendary coach), Trond Sollied (former RBK player and coach, now at Olympiakos) and John Carew (now Lyon) have all played for both teams.
The relationship was very good in the late 90's when we got Carew, in a good deal for both clubs.
This late years it has become a little more tensed. We won last years league on more scored goals (same amount of points, same difference).
The beat us twice in the Scandinavian Club Championship. Especially Steffen Iversen has made himself unpopular with some statements about RBK.
They have also gathered together some of the most disliked players in the league, as Hulsker and Berre.
However I think the players and the club has good relations off the field.
It is the two biggest clubs in Norway... That makes some tension between the fans and stuff, but not major.
Your chance is as it were against RBK. A little better maybe since you are away first. I'd say 50-50 chance for who will go through |

Yeah, Irish teams haven't exactly been prominent on the european stage latey... but then again; neither have the Welsh or (apart from Celtic and Rangers) the Scottish.
Who knows, perhaps your time is finally drawing close? _________________ "Engang en ret forvoven Jyde

Well, that's nothing special, most of the Bundesliga teams have this slogan... Looks like, everybody hates everybody these days!

Now, that's an interesting idea, also regrading that some of their key-players have a ban for the first leg. Wouldn't surprise me at all if we will see, in the second leg, a football-artial marts combination, we have some tempered players too (Dica couldn't play against you because he clinched fists with an irish).
P.S. I wouldn't put my bets on the romanian players though, they are kinda short

Theoretically, Vallerenga have the better squad, right? I heard about very good offensive players they've got. But when I look on the "tabellen", I see they scored even fewer goals than you did.
Thx. Dinamo fans got there first and the discussion is out of control. They allways have to stick their noses in others businesses...

vaalerengas squad is inferior to ours. its just that they have been playing well together this year - we have been severly lacking in our teamplay.
take this example: frode johnsen is rosenborgs worst player. steffen iversen is vaalerengas best player. mallorca wanted to buy johnsen instead of iversen. |

The key to Valerenga's succes is based on teamwork and not on individual players, right?
Why is everyone speaking so highly of Steffen Iversen, if he isn't that good? _________________ Yup, mein Name ist Harald, bin Siebenbürger Sachse, Mitglied der Lutherischen Kirche (hmmm, ich habe bislang alles gemeinsam wie die Norweger!) iversen might be good by norwegian standards but your iacobs is at least twice as good. you have got nothing to fear from vaalerenga. |
