...which by the way made me lose over 1000 NOK, you bastards
I think Kone did well last night. If he hadn't been for his move, the 2-1 goal with hit him instead of the goal
And why didn't he celebrate the second goal? He was more happy after 1-1 it seemed like What happend? |

Thanks for the congrats, it was really a great night. Our left midfielder Emmanuel Culio (UEFA seems to prefer Juan Culio, his other name) was awesome, he's in my sig also.
Our new coach is doing well, and Kone is starting to play good as well. _________________ www.CFRonline.ro

What is happening to Hirschfeld? Not on the bench against Roma... |

Although Hirschfeld seems like a commanding and confident keeper, he simply hasn't adapted to Romania. Same story with Dorsin. If he doesn't play soon, he'll probably end up leaving during the winter trasfer window. A pity, considering he was a fellow Canadian. |

I watched Slavia Prague versus FC Vaslui (Romanian team) in the UEFA CUp live during my holiday in Prague. I must say Vaslui did not play good at all, they just defended the whole time and their goalkeeper did some great saves so they were very lucky to get away with 0-0. I was surprised because other Romanian teams like Cluj and Steaua have been doing very well in Europe the last few years, so I was surprised that Vaslui played rather badly. But they are not really one of the better teams in Romania apparently? About 20 Romanian fans had travelled to Prague. It came across to me like it was a mid table team from Romania who ended up in the UEFA Cup by accident, they did not leave me a very good impression. Slavia was better but they dont have any strikers that can score a goal easily so who knows maybe Vaslui plays better at home in Romania. _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

Didn't Vaslui qualify through the Intertoto Cup? That might explain why they are not as good as Steaua and Cluj? (Even if there are some REALLY good teams in the Intertoto as well ) |

Correct, they beat Neftchi Baku in the Intertoto finals. But against Slavia Prague, the only Vaslui player who was worthy of European cups was their goalkeeper. He did some great saves to deny Slavia a victory. The rest of the team was weak and even rarely tried to attack. Rosenborg would beat them 3-0 with ease, because Slavia would have done the same if they had a player who can actually scores goals like our Steffen _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

Do you think Hirschfeld will still get his chance in Cluj or do you expect him to remain reserve? I am really surprised, because in Norway he gave an excellent impression both in Tromso and Rosenborg.
Congrats with your impressive win in Rome _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

I don't know why Hirschfeld is only a reserve. He is actually our 3rd choice goalkeeper now I think.
Hirschfeld is our best goalkeeper if you ask me, but he seems to have problems I don't know or understand because both Andone and Trombetta are keeping him on the bench, or in the stands.
We can only hope that our GK who is playing regularly, Stancioiu, will screw up (he's not that great) so Hirschfeld can get his chance and play for us. I hope he's not going to end up like Dorsin... _________________ www.CFRonline.ro

Hirschfeldt is in my eyes the best golie RBK has ever had. If he takes the same path as Dorsin, I'd be more than happt to take him back! _________________ Svein Sjovold |

What has happend with Victorias Iacob that played in Steaua? Remember when we were meeting Steaua in the Champions League qualifier, he was by far their best player. Didnt he also get topcorer in Uefa cup that season? And now his not good enough for Steaua and has been realeased from his contract in Kaiserslautern. Could he be a good player for Rosenborg or has he become really shitty in short time? |

Dito, although we would have a bit of an issue then as Jarstein definitely did not come to Trondheim to accept a benchsitter role.
But yes, Hirschfeld was fantastic. i became an RBK fan in 1994, and he was definitely our best goalie since I follow Rosenborg. remember the days of Jorn Jamtfall, good goalie but he did some weird things now and then and you were never really sure. With Hirschfeld it was like a feeling of certainty, knowing we had a reliable keeper who would never let us down. _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

True, but I dont see Jarstein being pleased with his role on the bench and accepting it like that. I mean, his future career with the national team and playing in the limelight of the UEFA Cup are at stake. He wont accept sitting on the bench for a long time I think. If we would get back Lars it would be a sign to Jarstein that we have no more faith in him and see no direct future role for him in Lerkendal.
However, sentiments put aside and without any disrespect to Jarstein, I still regret Lars left and would welcome him back immediately if he would want it himself. I think he may opt for a US team though should he leave Cluj, he felt a bit homesick already in Norway and maybe this plays its role in his Romanian lack of success. _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

He scored against your team back then (at your home game) but he didn't get the most goals in the UEFA Cup that season. He is currently out of contract. I don't know if he would be a good Rosenborg signing, I think he is just an average player. Universitatea Craiova wanted him recently but Craiova is a clearly weaker team than Rosenborg. Anyway, he is out of contract, so who knows, you might find him useful. _________________ www.CFRonline.ro

Yssouf Koné before the Chelsea game:
"And believe me, Cluj are much better than Rosenborg. With Rosenborg we thought at the beginning of the game that we would certainly be victims, but playing with heart and ambition we caused them serious difficulties. I still have regrets that I missed some great opportunities. This is time to get my revenge and score against Chelsea."

"Rosenborg had played in the tournament on a number of occasions, but this is our first time, so there is a big difference. You can see that our players are still learning how to compete at this level. But I think we are ready for Chelsea, and I believe we have a chance. Obviously we know it's going to be a tough game, but it is still eleven against eleven. Who knows what can happen?"

fair play to cluj on holding chelsea to a draw last night but i totally disagree with kones comments saying cluj are better than rosenborg.
lets see if cluj can get in the champions league at least eleven times, win their league at least 2o times and add in some cup wins then and only then will i believe kones comments!!! |

It doesen't matter who the better team is. We're not in a competition against Rosenborg here.
Anyway, it's just Kone's opinion and about Kone, we are very pleased with him. Everyone says that he is a quality striker. Everyone says just by looking at him play that he is a Champions League striker. I think he is going to score at least 2 goals in the remaining CL fixtures. _________________ www.CFRonline.ro

i can understand why they dont use Hirschfeld, he is an average goolie, no big mistakes or big savings, thats why so many fans up in trondheim tought he was good, but ignorant fools, happy we got rid of him....let him burn in the stands.... _________________ "The country is full of good coaches. Heh? What are you talking about? Do you remember the likes of Jorn Jamtfall? With him the one great save would be followed by an insecure moment that would cost us the game, with Lars I never had that feeling like any shot on goal could just fly in.
As for the "competition" between Cluj and Rosenborg... What else is Kone expected to tell the Romanian press? He can hardly tell "my previous club was a lot better so what the heck am I doing here?". In the end he cannot say anything different to his home fans than what he has said now.
That said, the Romanian league is flying high and while we have more history than Cluj, I would not like to face Cluj right now in Europe as they are certainly a very tough side to beat. Right now it would be a very close tie between a Rosenborg-in-good-form and Cluj. That we have a larger trophy list while Cluj is relatively new on the European stage, does not make a difference on the field. It is not a team I would like to face right now. _________________ Rosenborg, forever pride of the North!

Chelsea have not lost at home in 14 Champions League matches. But Kone will remind Chelsea to beware complacency. He was in the Rosenborg side whose draw at Stamford Bridge last season was the precursor to Jose Mourinho’s departure.
