Yssouf Kone is back on the track that leads to Romania. I hope that we're gonna transfer him. From the videos on Youtube, he seems like a quality player.

Konè is a steady goalscorer in the Norwegian league, but he is not what I would regard as a "quality player". I am afraid you will be disappointed.

I hope you'll buy him. He is not on the level we need to become a top European team.

Actually, i'm not quite sure about that. I think Kone has very good (not great, thoug) potensial, but that RBK isn't the right club for him to get it out in. But, time will show.

Why is that? Isn't he your top goalscorer? Why are you disappointed with him?

Well, I for one think that he's our best striker, and that he has proven me right by having the, by far, best scoring ratio in the club. He may not be a Ronaldinho with the ball, but he has proven himself quite the sniper inside the penalty area.

I am not disappointed with him, we didn't expect much from him when he arrived, I am saying that you might be disappointed if you have too high hopes. I think Konè is very good inside the box, but not that good outside the box.

If our club will transfer him, we would not have exaggerated hopes either. But we will expect something from him. I have heard that Chelsea and some other important clubs were interested in him at some point or still are. Regardless of his disadvantages, he must be an important player in your team and he might be an asset to our team as well. I have nothing against the possible transfer of Yssouf Kone from Rosenborg to CFR Cluj.

Are other playersin your team performing better ? Who is your best player?? Traore, Konan, Iversen, Skjelbred or maybe Sapara? Do you consider Steffen Iversen to be better than Kone? I've heard that Konan is a good player too.

Steffen Iversen in matchform is better than Koné. Unfortunately, he's almost never in matchform anymore.

What's the story? Kone, aproape de CFR

„Eu doar am spus că există şanse să vină la CFR, dar nu cunosc detaliile. Nu pot să vă spun sigur dacă transferul se va realiza”, a declarat Stanciu pentru Informaţia de Cluj.

Anything interesting in this one too?

Or maybe this one?

What does it say? Are there negotiations between Rosenborg and Cluj?

2mas, the google-translation tools can now translate from rumanian to norwegian.
http://translate.google.n...&tl=no

It worked pretty good.
Tommel'n opp!

The second link was interesting. It mentioned that Cluj have discussed a deal worth 1,5 euros.

Yep, I just found out myself.

"I just said that we are likely to come at CFR, but do not know the details. I can certainly tell you if the transfer will be done, "said Stanciu for information Cluj.

The Romanian newspapers say that Yssouf Kone is practically a CFR Cluj player. They say he costs 1.5 million euros. But the president of our club, Iuliu Muresan, said that there have been no negotiations with Kone in the past months. Here in Romania the newspapers lie very often and so does Muresan (when it comes to interest in players). So it is difficult to tell what will happen. I just hope it will turn out good for both CFR Cluj and Rosenborg.

By the way, about the newly posted article on the site, CFR Cluj has offered 12 million what for Kone? Euro/dollars or a local currency? There is nothing hot about Kone in the Romanian press at the moment that I can find.

Lokal currency, 12 million NOK or kroner/kr = 1,5 million Euros.

I almost had a heart attack when I saw "12 million" written on the front page next to "Cluj". That's a relief. Smile

I see that Muresan denies the speculations, but Kone's agent seems to confirm the interest.

I regard Sapara and Skjelbred as our best players. New signings Jarstein (replaced Hirschfeld) and Stadsgaard look very promising as well. When matchfit, Iversen is better than Konè, but Iversen is rarely matchfit. Konan has potential, but he has been here for 1.5 years and still not settled in, so I am not sure he will ever be an important player for us. Traore is a very promising kid and will probably play in a bigger league some day.

Don't get me wrong, Konè is OK and will probably score some goals for you, but he is nothing extraordinary. That Chelsea rumour was bullshit, he is nothing near that level.

What's this?

Have Cluj decided to wait to December to get Kone?

"The management of CFR Cluj have decided to abandon the signing of striker Yssouf Kone for the summer period, preferring to buy him at the end of the year when his contract with Rosenborg BK will expire. Since negotiations with Ionel Danciulescu (Dinamo Bucharest striker) have failed, "feroviarii" (railway men) have decided to update their transfer list with additional strikers: Wesley (27 years old, Pacos de Ferreira), Marcelinho (24 years old, Naval), Weldon (27 years old, Belenenses.)"

Is GSP the only source or are several newspapers claiming the same?

Should we trust them or just wait some days? If your coach is correctly cited, it seems like Cluj are very interested...

The Romanian press is untrustworthy. I think we should wait for a few days before you post an article at the website.

A new article has appeared on CFRmania, though not directly linked with Kone. Our president, Muresan, has recently declared that our team is looking at two players, one of them being a foreigner which has big chances to come to our team, acording to Muresan. The other one's transfer is uncertain for the time being. But there is no direct information pertaining to Yssouf Kone, I'm afraid, or any other player.

http://www.cfrmania.ro/st...strain.htm

Do not worry, though. We are sure to have news about Kone in the next few days; our club usually has the transfers done very swiftly.
