Swedish right back, Fredrik Stoor, is set to sign for Rosenborg this week.

Read more: Trading Eguren for Stoor

He seems like a great successor for Basma (Strand).

I think this is the correct way forward rather than Lago or other unsuccessful foreign players. They did not adapt quickly enough whereas Stoor knows Scandinavian football well.

Basma isn't finished yet i don't think but he has made a few mistakes recently.

To be really I am very suprised that there are many African players in Norway. Norway is totally different. But I totally agree, you better can buy some scandinavian players who allready know the culture and stuff.

A lot of african players in Russia, England, Netherlands and so forth also... those countries are quite different from Africa as well.

I think Norway might be in Europe, but hey... And Russia is much colder than Norway. So it shouldn't be any problem.

He extended his contract until 31/12/12 on Tuesday, hours before being selected for the Swedish Euro squad. Congratulations!

After a quite slow start, Stoor has proved to be a stable and good attacking back with good quality on his cross balls.

Yes, a solid defender. I'm unconvincved about Roy Miller but maybe he will progress like Stoor has done. Also interesting to note some player from newly crowned Romanian champions Cluj in the Sweden squad also!

"We have received an enquiry from Fulham, but I will not tell the size of the bid," director of sports Erik Hoftun tells.

I think a replacement should be in place before we sell - even though Basma might do a decent job the rest of the season.

I have seen this player at EURO 2008 and he looks solid. Another Dorsin maybe? You should hang on to him, but Rosenborg seems to have no problems when selling important players.

Representatives from Fulham were in Trondheim Tuesday trying to complete a transfer of Fredrik Stoor.

"We had a meeting this afternoon, but the negotiations have ended for today. It is possible that we resume Wednesday, but nothing is certain," Rosenborg director of sports Erik Hoftun told.

Heldal:

"The clubs don't agree on the valuation of the player at the moment.

"But something could happen very shortly."

Fulham sign right back John Pantsil

Guess the interest for Stoor suddenly is dramatically smaller. Rosenborg seem to have ask for more than the Londoners wanted to pay.

Stoor would be very disappointed, but he should live with it and keep working hard for Rosenborg.

The clubs agreed on a transfer today.

"I haven't finished negotiating my personal terms and haven't undergone a medical, so I haven't completely reached the goal yet. But of course it feels great right now," Stoor tells.

Sad

Guess that's the downside of having some players exposing themselves on the Euro...

Any idea of the transfer sum?

Not too bad a deal. Do we look elsewhere or within to replace him though?

Elsewhere: Mikael Lustig of GIF Sundsvall is seemingly the hottest prospect. He made his Sweden debut in January, and is also wanted by McClaren of Twente.

Hopefully Stoor won't flop out like Braaten did with Bolton...
