Youssef Kone of Olympique Club de Safi is on trial at Rosenborg this week.
"He seems like a very promising player. He has good pace, good physique and good technical skills. Now we have to see what we conclude after some days' training," Rosenborg coach Per-Mathias Høgmo says.

There seems to be some problems with Kone's transfer. Rosenborg are still waiting for the right papers from the football federation of Burkina Faso. Therefore Kone might not be eligible to play in the UEFA Cup. We just have to wait and see what happens... |

The expectations for Rosenborg's new attacker are high, much due to some well-played friendly matches, but for now Yssouf Kone is still going to be a substitute.

Macbeth Sibaya, Alejandro Lago, Sebastian Eguren... Yssouf Kone
How can he show his abilities when he gets no real chances?
Rosenborg destroys non-european players...

Yssouf has been injured all May, but now he's on his way back. |

"He is faster, good with both legs, has better technique and suppleness than what Steffen has", Stig Torbjørnsen claims.

Start have made a 6 million bid. Kone says he wants to play for them, so now it is all up to Rosenborg. |

Much has happened since the last reply in this thread. Many big clubs are said to be interested after Kone's excellent run in the Champions League with 7 goals in 8 matches, but now he might end up in Cluj - as Micke Dorsin.
"I just got an offer from Romania, and the offer was really good. The challenges there are good. If Rosenborg let me go, I will go," Kone told.

Cluj might get competition from Chelsea signing Rosenborg striker Yssouf Kone.
"We have not recieved a concrete offer from Chelsea. But there is interest," Kone's agent Alfred Obrou told.
Even Manchester City and Aston Villa are said to be watching the Burkina Faso international, in additon to several clubs in France and Belgium.
In August Kone replaced Bolton transferred Daniel Braaten in the starting line-up, and since he has been unstopable with 9 goals in 11 domestic league matches and 7 goals in 8 Champions League matches.

Why the quote? This is all very confusing.
Edit: I didn't mean to sound assholish.

Kone could help his cause greatly next week although his displays in the CL so far have bound to have caught attention of some clubs around Europe. |

Cluj has been playing dirty in this case. I hope they don't win the Romanian league, nor qualify for the CL. |

Aston Villa, Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers will all have scouts in the stands to see Rosenborg striker Yssouf Kone tackle the Blues.

Bit of a nightmare for Kone although he came up against some class defenders, namely Terry and Alex. |

The first bid from Cluj was €1M. Rosenborg are willing to continue the negotiations. |

I've heard that this transfer at least is putted on hold. Kone will be staying in Trondheim at least until summer. |

Nothing about Kone in the last few weeks... Iuliu Muresan said that he's "to expensive". I don't think he's that expensive because our chairman promised us huge transfer funds... so 1,5-2,5 million euro shouldn't be that much. But our club always denies transfer rumours, even when they are true, so we might not know what happens in a few weeks, or months. It's possible for Kone to come to Cluj because our striker Didi is injured for the rest of the season. |
