You just have to take results like there on the chin. It happens from time to time, however unpleasant though it is...... |

Well, what an anti-climax! (I kinda expected as much too)
I felt everything was in place for us last tonight but it wasn't to be, we had to keep the game even for the first 15-20 minutes. Sadly, by this time, it was over.
Can we blame Lars for any of the goals? Maybe but the defending was poor, particularly the amount of space Stoor and others allowed Wright Phillips and Cole. Drogba was immense though, he leads their attack very well and they are a much poorer team without him.
We had chances in the first half but they were quick and clinical. RBK played well in the second half without hurting Chelsea, I thought Kone was particularly ineffective against the massive height and power they had. Iversen was quiet too although he at least looked threatning from aerial crosses. Didn't think Sapara played all to well and it was Skjelbred who impressed the most for RBK. Traore had a poor game, probably our worst player on the night.
I had a good time in Trondheim though, there were plenty of RBK fans in the Chelsea end (including me) and offcourse many in the home support too. It was a shame about the game as their early goals flattened the noise and generally the home support didn't have much to shout about.
I will upload photos and video later, I got a new camera so they should be decent quality. I'm just starting to get warmed up now, walking downtown from the Lerkendal after the game was freezing!
Bergen was raining too on the way back unsurprisingly.

I hoped for a draw, but a loss was as expected. Shame we could not give Chelsea a better fight. Sometimes things go very wrong, and the combination of skillful Chelsea players and quite lazy Rosenborg players (didn't give their best) was a bad mix yesterday.
The Mirror:
Henrik Ibsen, Edvard Munch, Thor Heyerdahl, Ingrid Kristiansen, Morten Harket and Erik the Viking, can you hear me? Your boys took a hell of a beating last night.
Admittedly, Rosenborg were the worst outfit to represent Norway since the last time they got nul points in the Eurovision Song Contest.
(...)
The Norwegian league season, where Rosenborg finished fifth, ended on November 3 and the home team had not played since their win in Valencia three days later. Last night it looked like it.
