Midcircle
The pitch of Lerkendal is 105 meters long and 70 meters wide. Measuring 7350 cubic meters, it is one of Norway's biggest. A "fun" fact: The pitch is "uneven". Football pitches peak at the middle, to prevent rainwater from staying on the pitch. When upgrading Lerkendal in 2002, the pitch was moved closer to the Adidas stand. This was done by letting grass grow where the running tracks previously were. But one did not change the watering, and therefore a great part of the pitch slants toward the Adidas stand! |
