Watch out!
Here we come!
Norwegian footballs locomotive!
The boys from Trondheim are going for full machine!
This is RBK!
Shalala...
Uncertain how to translate 'kjøre på', even though I've been living in England for 2 years. |

Driving on (...) is a literal translation that won't really work the same way, as in - driving on someone. The boys from Trondheim is putting the pedal to the metal?
Quote: | When the accelerator is pushed so far it cant move any more- in some cars it hits a metal bar, or the end of the footwell (which is hopefully made of metal). |

The interpretation of 'kjøre på' could be that the locomotive continue forward, in that I would say that hello is correct.
"The boys from Trondheim roll on" might be slightly better grammar even though replacing "locomotive" with "boys" makes it sound a bit corny. |

It was a bad joke. It's not "driving on". |

A locomotive can be driven, but driving on is not the right term, and that was quite obvious that it wasn't, so not trying to sit on any high horse here.
Roll on is the best one and probably what's more right to use in this scenario, famously used in Creedence Clearwater Revival's song 'Proud Mary'.

The boys from Trondheim are rolling on sounds good. |

Based on his post (footballaus2), it seems he just wants the lyrics, and not necessarily the translation? |
