Visiting your city on Wednesday for the game and noticed many bars only open from 15.30. Where would you recommend we visit for a beer & food? _________________ Hail Hail |

Make sure you don't leave our beautiful city without tasting the local delicacy of Biffsnadder med Bernaise og pommfri. |

Looking forward to the visit. Independent travellers will be arriving from 16.00 today. We arrive on a charter from Glasgow tomorrow at 10.55. Dublin Café has agreed to open early with reduced beer prices. _________________ Hail Hail |

How much does an average 0.5 litre beer cost in the bars of Trondheim? _________________ Hail Hail |

Yes, Superhero Burger has awesome american-style burgers, but the quarters are rather small and not really suitable to accommodate a large crowd of football-supporters, in my opinion.
I would rather recommend Olavs Pub & Spiseri for visiting football-fans. They can seat up to 500 people and serve a large variety of british (and Norwegian) beer, as well as food.
It's also just a stones throw away from Superhero Burger, if you want to check that out while you're at it.
Have a nice visit! |

It's tricky for me to say because I have spent too much time on the wrong side of the North Sea. The Beer prices changes a lot from pub to pub. The prices are usually negotiated between the pub and the supplier(brewery). The local brewery in Trondheim is called E.C. Dahls and their Pilsner beers will be a lot cheeper at most pubs than imported beers or other norwegian beers.
Apart from that, trønders are very friendly, but a bit shy. Just buy them a beer, and you'll have a friend for life. |

Another thing I should mention is outdoors drinking. I've lived eight years in England and Scotland and I really really miss being able to enjoy a beer outdoors with the sun shining in my face. Most pubs have beer gardens, but they are like four tables under a roof for smokers to go have a fag.
In Norway on the other hand, most pubs have huge outdoors drinking areas, and people will start migrating outdoors in March already.
Tromdheim is probably the best place in Norway for this activity. Especially the pedestrianised thoroughfare Norde Gate and the old docks of Nedre Elvehavn are perfect places for drinking under the sun.
Funnily enough the only place in Britain that compares is Ashton Lane in Glasgow, but it's tiny. Trondheim is like a hundred times bigger and wooden Ashton Lane. |
