My first contribution:
UEFA guide to Trondheim
At the official UEFA Champions League website they have made an Trondheim guide, focusing on travelling football supporters.
Here it is: Travelzone: Trondheim
The guide seems pretty OK, but a bit unupdated, specially in the "Nightlife" section - quite of few of the mentioned clubs and pubs are closed down... |

Hello, Norvegian brothers!
I must be sorry for my poor english (though its better, than to post on your native language, no offents maid). I think, Zenit will win, but do i trust... Yaap. 50 - 50. My question is: cheep and comfortable hotels in Trondheim. And special offer to my norwegian colleagues - if the match take place in SAINT-PETERSBURG I invite 5 people to my house. |

It is not only the only Norwegian city, but also the only nordic city featured on the list... _________________ "Engang en ret forvoven Jyde

Great news, i'm coming to Trondheim for RBK-Lillestrom!
My original schedule to Oslo has allowed me to travel north via Air Norwegian to Trondheim in time for this match, tickets were reasonable too.
Anyway, i'm staying in Prinsens Gate and i have a couple of questions:
1) I have bought tickets via RBK online and i've chosen to print them at home. How do i exchange these or enter the Lerkendal with this type of ticket?
2) What is the easiest way to get to Lerkendal from the city centre and back to my hotel after the match?
Cannot wait for the game next week! |

1) I'm not quite sure, as I got a seasonticket I've not used those yet. But if you go to the gate they'll explain.
2) Bus nr 8 marked "8 Risvollan" goes by Lerkendal. Going back the buss is marked "8 Sentrum"... |

1) Your home printed ticket is valid in the gates.
2) Even bus 3, 60 and 66 pass by Lerkendal stadium. In addition all other buses to the south of the city centre stop just 200 m northwest of the stadium. |

Thanks guys, really looking foward to it. I'm going to by a neutral spectator at VIF-Lyn on Wednesday but i'm delighted to get to my first RBK game, especially as its already looking likely to be crucial in the title race.
I will be only staying one night and leave on Friday at 5pm for Stavanger so i won't have much time to see all of Trondheim sadly. I'll be back though im sure to watch RBK, maybe in the Champions League if w're lucky. |

Make sure you stop by the supporter's pub "Klokkesvingen" in Dronningens Gate before the game and introduce yourself. _________________ "Engang en ret forvoven Jyde

I will try. I get into Trondheim at midday so will have most of the afternoon to explore, i believe the downtown can be covered on foot in a few hours?
Anyway, i have another question, what time will i have to leave for the stadium?
I take it there will be a good crowd for this key fixture. |

The downtown is tiny, a few hours is plenty of time to stroll around and have a beer somewhere (e.g. Den Gode Nabo, they have a decent selection). It is a nice town to walk around in, if you are lucky with the weather. |

It should be, but then again it's a midweek game in the middle of summer, so it probably won't be filled to the rafters. Expect anything from 17.000 to 20.000. _________________ "Engang en ret forvoven Jyde

I feel miserable when I see you are coming from Scotland to watch a game at Lerkendal. I live in Fredrikstad and don't even see it as an option to travel northover for a game. Føkk. Well. Enjoy _________________ / Slapp av folkens, det her ordner seg. |

The weather should be good and as i said, even though the season is only half way through, this looks like it could affect the outcome of the race.

Yeah, but i fly to Oslo and connect there, i suppose you have to go to Oslo too which could be a bit annoying from Fredrikstad. We don't have any football on TV or live here either which makes it easier at this time of year! |

Who's got the SPL games on tv nowadays?
Edit: Are there direct flights from Aberdeen or are you taking the Ryanair coach from Prestwick? The Ryanair flight lands at Torp airpost, which is about 120 km away from Oslo... _________________ "Engang en ret forvoven Jyde

SPL is covered by Anglo Irish broadcaster Setanta Sports, who will have EPL games next year!
I'm flying from Edinburgh, Air Norweigan started a new route to Oslo at very reasonable rates. I could fly to Oslo, Bergen or Stavanger from Aberdeen but the flights are a bit pricey. Instead, i will get the train to teh capital and fly from there to Gardermoen.
I'm also using Air Norwegian from OSL to Trondheim, they offer great prices compared to SAS for example. |

I'm back after last week's match, i really enjoyed my trip to Norway and Trondheim in particular. I like the city's old town centre and the weather was stunning. Obviously tonight's and last weeks results were dissapointing. I thought RBK were the better side but i also had a sneaky feeling Occean would finally score.
I have some photos from the game and Trondheim at my Flickr site you might want to check out.
P.S - Trondheim is a much nicer city than Stavanger or Oslo, i like the scenery and offcourse the Lerkendal!

Nice pics! I take it you didn't spend a lot of time taking pictures during the match, though... _________________ "Engang en ret forvoven Jyde
