Dorsin now an RBK player
Thursday afternoon, Mikael Dorsin signed the contract that binds him to Lerkendal until end of the 2007 season. The 22-year old has great hopes for his future as an RBK player.
"It feels good to have signed. I am looking forward to get things going. Rosenborg is a big club, and I have great expectations for my stay here," Mikael Dorsin says to local Trondheim newspaper Adresseavisa. The joy is returned: "This is very positive for us. We have spent a lot of time on this, and think we have found a player that can contribute a lot and enter the team straight away," Sports Director Rune Bratseth said earlier this week. Mikael Dorsin can start playing for Rosenborg July 1st. Background information: Djurgården sold Mikael Dorsin to Strasbourg for EUR 945.000 last summer, and the player signed for three years. But due to economical problems in the French club, the Stockholmers had added a clause: Were not all the money paid in one year, Djurgården could fetch the player back. And that has now happened. The French top league club used Dorsin for 16 league and 3 cup games during the season, but chose to use the clause to their own gain, and let the Swede return home as the season ended. Djurgården is hence the seller. The transfer sum is not made public, but is supposedly somewhere around EUR 235.000.
