Hadde ikke fått med meg før nå at Norge var forbi Danmark, enda det var kjent at det nok kom til å bli slik. Godt å se at norske lag er på 10.plass i antall sankede poeng ifjor, >0.150 poeng unna å havne på 8.plass. |

The new club coefficient will no longer include a 20% contribution of the respective national association coefficient in order to avoid further unfair advantage for clubs of top-ranked associations and penalisation of clubs with good individual performances but a weak association coefficient. The club coefficient used for seeding purposes will be calculated using results of the past five years to reflect the current strength of teams and will not contain bonus points for previous titles.
Meanwhile, the club coefficient used for financial distribution purposes will cover the last ten years and will include bonus points for previous titles to reflect the longer-term contribution of clubs to the competition brand and success.

Ang. Siste avsnitt: høh? Distribueres turneringspengene på grunnlag av klubb-koeffisienten?
Øvrig; dette må jo være gode nyheter? RBK tjener vel ikke allverden på det nåværende systemet da norske lag gjør det dårlig med enkelte unntak. Man må jo sammenlikne den relative fordelen med lagene vi kniver om seedingplasser med. Noen med innsikt som har en ide om hvordan dette kan slå ut? |

Ble nevnt i 2017/18-tråden, men kanskje verdt å skille ut:
Før poeng denne sesongen er tatt med - minst 1,5 poeng, ligger vi på 201. plass på ny ranking med fem poeng (0,5 + 1 + 2 + 1,5 + 0).
Om vi ryker mot Ajax, ender vi på 6,5 poeng - som uten å se på andre lag gir 157. plass - delt med Aalborg. |

Kan noen forklare meg hvordan dette poengsystemet fungerer? Vi har jo falt en del etter Ajax-kampen. Synes det er ubehagelig å se Molde før oss på en slik liste.

UEFA Champions League points system
First qualifying round elimination – 0.5 points
Second qualifying round elimination – 1 point
Group stage bonus participation – 4 points
Group stage win – 2 points
Group stage draw – 1 point
Round of 16 bonus participation – 4 points
Clubs are also awarded an additional point if they reach the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals or final.
NB Points are not awarded for elimination in the third qualifying round or play-offs, since those clubs move to the UEFA Europa League and are awarded points for participation in that competition.
UEFA Europa League points system
First qualifying round elimination – 0.25 points
Second qualifying round elimination – 0.5 points
Third qualifying round elimination – 1 point
Play-off elimination – 1.5 points
Group stage win – 2 points
Group stage draw – 1 point
Clubs are also guaranteed a minimum of two points if they reach the group stage and are awarded an additional point if they get to the quarter-finals, semi-finals or final.
*Penalty shoot-outs do not affect the calculation system.
Coefficient calculation
Clubs' coefficients are determined by the sum of all points won in the previous five years, plus 20% of the association coefficient over the same period.
These rankings will be updated after each round of UEFA club competition matches. |
Molde ligger over oss fordi de hadde en veldig god sesong i 15/16, hvor de fikk 11,450 poeng. Vi vil etter i år i verste fall ligge 5,500 bak de.
Grunnen til at vi har rykket ned siden Ajaxkampen er at mens andre klubber har vunnet i Europa, tapte vi vår kamp og fikk ikke lagt inn flere poeng denne gangen. |

Malmöpoängen gav också en poäng till Sverige, vilket på nationsrankingen ger 0,25 poäng (1 poäng delat med 4 startande klubbar), till 21,75 i totalpoäng.
Det gör att Sverige på 21:a plats dragit ifrån Norge, som vi passerade efter MFF:s hemmaseger mot Lugano. För att Norge ska gå om igen måste Rosenborg vinna en match mer än MFF på de två återstående Europa League-matcherna.
