When is the new team picture being taken? My website building is in its final stages so I hope to release my Dutch-language RBK fansite in January. However, I would like to have a portrait of each player on it, including the new players. So I would need a picture of each player that I can use without breaking any copyright laws.

I guess no photos are being taken before mid March, in time for the league opener. They want to wait until close before deadline before taking the official team photo due to possible signings of new players.

I also decided to put an article about the city of Trondheim on my site. Does anyone know where I can find pictures of Trondheim that I can use for the site without breaking copyright laws? I thought of the Trondheim Tourism board, but I guess they will not like to see their pictures appear on a random other website.

Also, I announce that the building of the first Dutch-language Rosenborg fansite is in its final stages! I just need to pick a good host. I thought of starting with free hosting and then upgrade once the site becomes a success. A friend of mine recommended me Geocities, has anyone ever used them and what were your opinions on them?

You should find a free host without ads, not Geocities. If I remember correctly, you got some advice earlier in this thread regarding free hosting.

Cool, by the way! Tommel'n opp!

Geocities has ads? I believe only on the right side of the pages but you can remove it with a simple mouse click. Freewebs.com is maybe another option. I want to start off with free hosting but once the site is getting traffic and once my HTML improves, I will switch to paid hosting.

Could I copy photos from the Trondheim tourism board website without getting in trouble with copyrights?

If they own the rights, I can't see why it should be a problem. After all it's a site for tourism, and what could then be better than some free "advertisement" for Trondheim on your website?

You should use frac.dk or some host from this list, Gerrit. Or home.no.

But I personally recommend a real domain with hosting. You can get it for 20-30 euro a year.

I might give you a place (FTP + subdomain) on my server if you really want it. I have 365 GB of unused space, so.. Then you can buy rosenborgbk.be or something for 10-20 euro and connect it to my host.

rosenborgbk.eu is maybe a better choice? Or just register both - it just costs €15 or something.

Frac.dk looks really good, but I believe they only accept registrations from within Scandinavia?

The reason why I haven't really checked an own paid webspace is because I am not really good with HTML. I would need a really easy "what you see is what you get" webbuilder program... If you know a good and easy-to-use webbuilder, then a bit of space on your server would be cool, I need only 20 or 30 MB I think Smile

By the way, I already bought rosenborg-benelux.com ! However, I may buy a second domain as well, something shorter like rosenborgbk.eu or rosenborgbk.nl or so. Domains are very cheap anyway so no problem to own more than 1 domain Smile

Surftown has a SiteBuilder. I have good experiences with this host, but have not tested this tool.

I tried google.com to read reviews about their sitebuilder tool, but could find no details at all about the limitation and/or possibilities of the sitebuilder.
Must say though that the prices at Surftown are incredibly cheap, 12 GBP per year for 1 GB webspace is a bargain.

Did anyone try www.everyoneweb.com yet? Free webhost with little or no advertisements, give 200 MB of webspace. Seems a bit too good to be true, I wonder if there's any catch. I could also not find any reviews about this host...

Have you tried that webbuilder yourself and were you satisfied with it?

PS: the girl in the introduction film is rather hot too Smile Cool

Check out the webbuilder yourself, by downloading the software. After my opinion it's brilliant, and it's easy to create a page with high quality.

Once you've done with building the site with Bluevoda and you've uploaded it, how are you then able to make changes and add new pages to the site at a later moment?
Do you have to remove the entire site and re-upload the adapted pages from scratch, or how does that work?

It's very, very easy. I guess you have figured out that you make the pages in the software. After you have made some of your pages you just publish it by pressin' a button in the software. But ofcourse, you can't publish anything without having paid first. If you do that, something I've done, you'll get access to a server/page called cPanel, where you can control it all very easy.

But I'm not so good to explain, so why don't you just watch and check out the tutorials at http://www.vodahost.com/tut1.htm (. Bluevoda is known for good assistance when needed, and the tutorials is good.

Including making changes to already uploaded pages, or adding new pages?

By the way, I thought the Bluevoda sitebuilder was free and that you needed to purchase webspace at any webhost yourself... My mistake apparently. But I don't mind paying for a good sitebuilder, good service is worth its money.

Yep, ofcourse it includes that you can change an uploaded page - anything else would have been pathetic.

I recommend you to pay for Bluevoda's services. It's very easy and you can build an awesome page without any knowledge about html or coding in no time.

How much does it cost? I cannot really find any prices on their website, unless you mean the www.vodahost.com ? Do you mean that, or can you pay for Bluevoda sitebuilder and then use it with any webhost you wish (not only Vodahost)?

You have to purchase for 1 year, or more, to use what you're building in the software.
You can pay online here: http://www.vodahost.com/order.htm
I think I paid around 550 kroner for 1 year, including a .com domain!

Yeah, but doesn't Freewebs have a limit of 20 pages per site? Or is that no longer the case?

When it comes to free webhosts, this seems not bad at all: www.everyoneweb.com . A guy I know uses them and is satisfied. They are relatively new though, hosting "only" about 11000 sites right now, so it is maybe unsure how long they will provide their service.

Why are you aiming so low? You should get a proper host with no ads not benefiting you and your site. I gave you a big list of hosts with no ads at all. You should use one of them together with a top domain name. A real domain can be bought for less than 10 euro per year. I bet you can afford that? Smile

(I'm not in a condition to write properly...)
