Hyka is still not ready to play for Rosenborg. He might have to return home to Albania.

I just have to say that the clubs are against these new, more restricted rules. Actually I thought the NFF had decided to go back to old, more liberal system. Hopefully they will. |

The Football Assosciation refused to grant Hyka a player's license. The final word came some days ago. The reason given is that he is "not vital for the club".

I really think the NFF should make some more distinct rules. A kind of personal judgment should not decide important things like this. Rosenborg want this player in the first team squad, and then it is ridiculous that the NFF should question this. |

He's already in Trondheim, but has to travel back home to Albania.
It seems like the NFF is very sceptical to young non EU players after the Mikel case. |

The drama concerning Jahmir Hyka got a happy ending today: the Rosenborg talent got a license to play from the Football Association!

Good news for the player, he's only a year younger than me and i would love to be in his position playing for RBK.
Obviously i don't have the same football ability but i'd still love to be one. |

He was allowed to join RBK after all.
From what I have heard his technique and speed is exceptional. So I guess that explains the fuzz. |

I'm suprised that there was such a problem with a young foreign player getting into the RBK team, there are quite a few foreigners in the premier league in Norge, probably not as many as we have in Scotland.
Because we're part of the UK i suppose it's easier for foreign players to get into our country. |

The Norwegian FA used to be quite fair on this, but the John Obi Mikel case scared them last year. Therefore the rules became more restricted this winter (non EU players had to have full caps etc. - far too strict!), but now they have turned again, giving both Hyka and a Molde player license yesterday. |

Jahmir Hyka has had a great week since he returned to Trondheim and Rosenborg.

Glad to see our wunderkind is happy to be back. I'm also pleased with his attitude. Looking forward to see him live myself.
I cannot help thinking about FC Midtjylland and Mohamed Zidan. Let's hope he turns into a player like that. |

The official RBK site reports that Hyka played well today. He scored two goals in the jr. cup - one after some nice dribbles.
knerten_10 on the Norwegian forum wrote: | Thus far he has scored 6 goals in three games (which of course equals one goal every 45 minutes.) |

Jahmir Hyka's future is uncertain. As with Molde's Pape Paté Diouf, he only gained a temporary license to play. While the Senegal forward today received a permanent license, after having impressed in the Tippeliga, the situation is harder for the Rosenborg player. He still hasn't made his debut on the first team, and then he doesn't fullfill the demands set by the Assosciation.
"Now, RBK have to convince us that he is definitialy crucial for the team. That means he must be able to join the starting 11 and strengthen it," NFF Head of Information Roger Solheim states.

"Jahmir is a footballer with good and special skills, and is very easily noticed. He's best when he has the ball, and personally I feel that he must improve the tempo of his gameplay. How he acts when it comes to keep the tempo up during a match. Some times he does a good job in this aspect, but other times, he struggles," Rosenborg coach Knut Tørum thinks.

Turn on Kanal5/TVNorge/TVNoo in an hour!
Hyka is in the starting line-up against Helsingborg due to some sickness and injures in the Rosenborg squad. It will be really interesting to watch him playing at this level. |

Hyka's contract is cancelled. The main reason is that only 3 non EU players are allowed in each match squad.
"We were left with five such players, and Hyka came last in that queue. That is a pity in many ways, as he is a very fine lad and a good player with a great potential. But this situation wasn't good for his own development, and we were forced to make this decision," sports director Rune Bratseth says.
